If you were going to order a ultimate one stick from EWO. You would order _ _ _

The problem is... When I break out my saddle gear, there is a 6yr old boy who want to swing from the tree. And my 8 year old wanted to as well. So I had to set some ropes in the tree and the. Like to swing around the tree at ground level in there harness. Great that they do it. But cuts down on the time I have to mess around with my one sticking. I did get one move in. Wasn't to bad. Playing with bridge options and how I want to rapell out still. Gotta get one of those washers.
We never see it but enjoy those moments. I'm empty nest in 3 years and regret everything I didn't do when they where young.

For the rappel aspect, learn the munter hitch and klemheist. This will absolutely get you done and only requires a rappel rope, prusik cord and (2) biners. Everything after that just makes it easier.

Yup, my 7 year old is SRTing anytime I find time to tinker with my gear. He has been up and down a tree more than I have lately.

Here is the pictures of the flat monarch, I was to lazy to put it on a tree so against the wall will have to do for now. Looks like it’s a true 6” by 9-7/8” and is just shy of 8” from wall.

Going to pick one up for my ewo. I'm going to pm you about a couple extra pics.

So this thing rocks! I have not tried it with another stick, but the climbing part is pretty easy. Haven't tried it with all my hunting clothes on yet or in the dark. But so far the stick is the least of the problems. 2 moves put me just under where I normally would have my 3-4 hawks. Still sorting out some minor details like the keeping the rope up on my tether. Going to try the washer trick with a few other things. A wire tie helped pretty good. But this thing is stable, and locks in great. No regrets on ordering it.

Once you get 10-15 climbs in on different trees it's pretty amazing how smooth you can get.

@MattMan81 What do you think now about the UP for longer sits? I know you said before you weren’t sure about it. And are you climbing like the Staggs in the Wild video and holding the stick with your rope on the platform face when securing it? In his video I think he has a flat scout, but the UP dimensions project further than that. Curious if you’re doing the same.

I think if I plan on staying longer than 3 hours I will take a long my predator platform for sure. But if I was out in public for an evening hunt I think it would be plenty. Short walk on private I'll pack a stand.
I do it like stags. Use my rope to hold it back to the tree. Keeps both hands free to re secure it. It's enough I can sit on it if I need to as well. I'm not little by any means. So there is some room there. The truth will be how well I can shoot my bow from up there on the UP to tell me if it's enough platform.

For those using a stick mounted platform, do you use a separate strap for stability once at hunting height?

Nope. I hunted with an angled scout on a cut down lone Wolf stick all last season for reference. I attached the stick to the tree using the webbing “rope mod” type attachment. I can’t speak to the somewhat larger stick platforms such as the UP or the other one from OOAL.

So set my stick up in the tree tonight and was slinging some arrows from it. Gotta say.. it was better than I thought for room on the platform. What impressed me the most, was I could plant my foot into that corner, and I can swing around the tree to shoot the off side if needed. Some times the depth of the platform is a little hard to work around to get up. But manageable. But I loaded all my weight into that corner, and it didn't move. @boyne bowhunter I was doing what we were messing with at the meet up stepping on the back of the EDP. No hinge, no fold. The tree was on the bigger side, so would probably be better with a little smaller tree to get around.
