My new post was delivered today and is installed. Tolerances on the holes are pretty tight, so much so that I had to run a 1/4" drill bit down thru the holes for the bolt for the leveler. The paint was causing the bolt to not free float which is important for the leveler to function correctly. Additionally, there is a milled slot where the versa button goes that is smaller on the new post. Because of this, I was unable to use the DanO Alumibutton I had on it, have to use the steel replacement versa button LWCG had sent a while ago.

When I took it apart it was evident how bad the last post was. There are shims on each side of the post. One was fine, the other had been drilled out and the hole is significantly elongated.

Will get this on a tree this weekend.

Installed. I also was using DanO's alumibutton and went back to XOP button LWCG had sent for the same reason as @huntin_addict
I put it on a tree briefly and looks good to go. I'm happy they made this right.

Looks like you are using an extra cam strap at the base of your post. Is this to help eliminate the platform noise/movement on the tree. If yes and it does work please let us know exactly what you are doing. I can't seem to cam my platform over tight enough to keep it from making noise.

Does the tighter tolerance seem to have mitigated some of the flex? The one I had flexed a lot.. I really want to love one of these, but the assassin and predator were much more stable for me.

It still has some flex... cant tell if any more or less with the new post. The Predator flexes almost none, but it is obviously smaller.

Getting what you paid for is a thing of the past. If you think you are paying top dollar and getting a better product that reflects the price, you are wrong nowadays. Same thing building a house. Every contractor thinks he is the best and if someone that really is better is charging a high fee, he will charge that fee. Some people don’t even know they are sub par.
So you think you can get around it by doing your research. Wrong again. How many reviews have you seen by people that have no clue what they are talking about?
