And what is on that pole?
It's a downrigger. Used for precise depth control open water trolling

nice. The guy wants 900 for the 15'6' on a galvy trailer. seeing what he wants for the 15'4" I"ve got an 15hp yammy that would be nice...hopeing hes into some trades....
At some point, I want to build a "motor assisted" canoe or kayak. No steering, just a thrust option to help you out in a current or to close the last few yards of a stalk. Inboard electric motor, or something like that. Something that was one, sleek unit; as opposed to a battery+motor+boat affair.
I love the laziness and stealth of trolling motors, but hate futzing around with batteries and transom clamps. If I could just cartop and throw it in the water as-is, that would be sweet.
Maybe someday...
Worth it. I want one now."Plenty of room for sandwiches and beer I the seat compartment"
Cause I want to make sure I'm hammered when I fall of the back and get chewed up by that prop when I'm flying at 35mph!
Similar to the old town predator? At some point, I want to build a "motor assisted" canoe or kayak. If you could make it weigh half what it currently does (120lbs) then maybe.Similar to the old town predator?
I emailed Mr Dalton last week, that swamprat may be my answer... funny spell ck was trying g to put Democrat in place of swamprat, lolBlegh, snow is icky. I'll take snakes.
I had to dig for pics of this one. Couldn't find my actual boat, but this is the SwampRat1036 model from Dalton's Boat Works outta Louisiana. 10ft long, 3ft wide, about 60lbs. Fiberglass. Interesting little booger that was surprisingly stable and moved well with a trolling motor. It just sat in a weird in-between place for me and didn't get used enough to justify keeping. She was fun though.
