Well it's supposed to be here Thursday, I'll let you know. I just figured the LWHC seat costs $150. This is designed and tested for climbing and made in USA.
I just sold my modified LWHC to get one of these. My brother got one, and I'll get to evaluate it this Saturday. Curious about your thoughts after a climb or two.

I was going to hunt tomorrow but instead I am going to test this thing out. So far I like the quality but not the foot attachment system.

Yeah, I bought one also and looking forward to trying it out. I, too, wonder if there's a better alternative for the foot attachment.

Ok I climbed with it today. It's comfortable to stand on with my size 13's, it climbs nice, it doesn't slip and flop like my LWHC seat, it really grips the tree nice. I took of the straps off because I'm old and fat so I can't bend down to take them off while at height, you really don't need them anyway, I just put my feet under the cross member and climbed up and down that way, very easy, very stable. The cable has eyelets on both ends that the pins go thru and the arms have holes for adjustment. I didn't try it but I don't think adjusting while climbing will be that difficult.

I climbed a 12" dia. tree. I had to start 3' up because the tree was too big at the bottom. The left arm on mine had a hole that wasn't drilled in the correct spot so it was difficult to use that hole. I could use it but it was difficult. I don't like the wires on the pins but I guess they serve the purpose.

All in all I like it. Is it worth $300? I think so but the workmanship could be better, that hole should be right.

Good info. I was wondering about just using the cross member. Since they used wire lock pins, I was wondering if lifting up on the cross member would be noisy.

Not at all but if you hit it with something metallic it rings.

can you fit both feet on and climb like a regular old school climber?

does it look professional or like it was made in the garage?

Thanks for sharing video. Very interesting concept, been hunting with my oldest son and I’m envious of his advantages using my alpha climber. I was originally questioning the noise with all those pins and joints, guess we’ll wait for the reviews. I can defy see this being a possible option to go with the normal sticks and platform. and surprised it’s taken so long for someone to introduce, now we wait till someone throws some carbon fiber or titanium at the idea lol

Have you or could you weigh the Alpha platform only. I am wondering if this would make a good climbing saddle platform. I have the Lone Wolf larger climber, the platform was 12lbs. 2oz. On my scale.

Yes both of my size 13 fit on it comfortably and it looks professionally made. The welding is awesome! It's very light and climbs awesome.

Do you see a way to go around limbs with it both when ascending and descending?
