In my opinion, yes, the Assassin is just a better product. Never heard it make a peep in all the years I used it, extremely solid, can toe hook it all you want, larger surface area, and didn't open up so that I could keep it folded without having to use gear ties or the strap to hold it flat (this really helps when hanging it).

My predator feels small, sometimes squeaks/pops, and of course now the quality/safety issues that have been well documented on this site.

Obviously the Assassin is heavier, but it's bigger, it's supposed to be heavier. If weight is by far the most important variable I would suggest the Predator or ROS.

I'm sure if I had never used an Assassin I would be in love with my Predator, but I have, so I'm not.

This is the timeline as I understand it:

- Oct 9 they said the ambush would launch “next week”


- October 26 they said they would release order details “later this week”

Its November 4th

You'll have no problem. I posted my Predator on the facebook saddlehunter classifieds page and it sold in less than 2 minutes for more than I paid for it!
