LWCG stand setups

.5 with a Kifaru E & E (saddle, binos, light, misc). A couple of Web Talons holding the two ONE sticks with 3-step aiders. Large Kifaru pouch with rappel rope, madrock, etc. Trekking pole for advancing tether up the tree (no slack climbing, thanks @Fl Canopy Stalker). Not sure about the hybrid setup after this much time in the saddle, but once it cools down some I’ll get in a palm tree and try it some!
So r u “one stickin”? Or using your tether all the time instead of lineman’s belt? Sweet setup man!

how height r u getting with just two sticks?

I undo the mule clip, which has all 4 on it, then I’ll typically set 2 while standing on the ground and the leave the other 2 in the clip and hang it from the hanger. I’ve got aiders on 2, so I’ll probably only hang one while on the ground and hang the other 3 while I climb up if I need to stretch it out some.

Fast forward to 17:50. This was the best system I could come up with for the LWCG & there doubles. It sounds similar to your setup.

One stick with an EWO, one stick with a ONEstick and Predator, or two stick with aiders. Figure 14’ to the top of the second stick, another 2 to the stand (maybe 3 if I use a single step aider). Only use my linesman to reset the tether with the pole. Lotta movin parts, but that’s what practice is for

Thanks for sharing. Pretty similar set up.
Main difference is I’m hanging my sticks from the versa hanger that’s attached to my stand vs saddle/harness; however, I do have another clip so that I can hang them from my harness. Haven’t really practiced with it that way.

What were those talons you were using/where did you get them. I like how they stay on the post. What was the clip you left on the sticks?

Got my TX5 suspension in. Just put it and and first impression I’m pretty happy with it. 2-3 things that are “messed” up on it. One just a couple ends forgot to get seen. They missed a mole loops. Mainly they missed the second sewn piece that you’re supposed to catch off your load lifters for. Honestly probably should inform tx5 but it’s not the end of the world. I did expect zero issues with the name tx5 though.

Seems really comfortable. Hoping to be able to sell my Kuiu suspension and carbon frame. Honestly the Kuiu is more comfortable and better build for true packing out but it’s a touch heavier than I’d like.

What's the weight on the TX5 suspension? I think the Kuiu is advertised under 2lb.

Website says 1 pound. I can’t confirm this I don’t have a good scale that goes that light. I had the frame on the Kuiu too. It’s closer to 3. The tx5 is also less bulky. Also just wanted to try it. I liked the Kuiu but it’s nice dropping the carbon sheet and having something that’s actually fit and design to go on instead on rigging just the Kuiu suspension on like I considered.

I currently have the Kuiu and sheet on my .75. Seemed pretty light to me. I can't weigh it either cause its all zip tied in. I thought it was advertised at 1lb 10 oz. Carries great though!

My EOP pack I got from them had the stitching come out on one of the Molle loops. I emailed them a pic and they had a return label to me within an hour telling me to send it back and they’d fix it. They had it back to me within a week or so. I would have preferred it didn’t happen, but the service was great.

Updating this with tx5 offered to make me a completely new one and I didn’t see the need for all of that over a few small things. They’re great to work with! I love the thing and plan on buying more stuff from them.

Where do you find these pop on pop off attachments for the beast sticks onto the seat post?
In vid around the 11m14s mark

Love my .5! Definitely the best stand I’ve owned or used in 40 years. I got the super lightweight eagle industries straps to put on it. Plenty comfy, super light too. Used it with my one sticking outfit the last three seasons, but I’m converting to SRT this year. So I just sold my tethered one stick! I tied my one sticks on it was just a super small section of green Paracord! These are the straps I put on I’m pretty sure.

What sticks, packs and other items are you using with your stands? Or any modification you’ve made to yours. Just got a .5 and I’m pretty obsessed. Pictures would be awesome!

Who here is currently using the LWCG waist pack? I really don’t wanna spend 150 on the tiny thing but it honestly looks perfect for my needs.

I got one.
Ik it probably can’t be worth 150$ but I don’t carry much crap and having it on the bottom of my seat would be one less thing to do every climb. U like it? Ive looked at the marsupial gear small lumbar and it’s nice. Just the organization of the waist pack looks awesome

It’s ok definitely not worth $150.
