I have spent way too much already this year but the best thing was the HC Mini! I have my weight (bow n such, climbing stuff, repel rope n gear, platform and saddle) to under 15 pound's. I love all of it. Now I just have to spend more time in the woods.

Don’t know about he latest and greatest, but new gear for me for 2023 is as follows
1-new right shoulder-total reverse replacement on February 13th.
2-new saddle-Buzzard Brown Roost!
3-new bow-Blackout Epic X2-this one is left handed 45-60# I’ve had to shoot righty due to the shoulder, but I’m a lefty! I’m 99.9% positive I’ll be able to hold the bow in my right hand and shoot it properly, with my dominant eye……I pray I’m ready by November!

Here you go. This is how I ran it for deer seaon with my saddle. I’m thinking about running the big pouch on the side for turkey season but I may end up changing it.

That's similar to what I use, mine is HPG as foundation, and dare I say am happy enough with it that I have no desire to change or upgrade.

2023 I’m going bionic. Plates, screws, a stud and cables. Look out bucks, I’ve got titanium.

Got hit by car on Nov 2nd on lunch break while hunting. Was so nice I took the ktm and guy hit me 5 min from home. Only good thing was able to spend every day in woods. Best year hunting I've had in years.

awesome...i'd advise to be conservative at first...a 45 lbs modern bow is equivalent to a 60 lbs bow from the 1990s....plenty of power for deer at least

This is eerie. We have matching plates and this X-ray was taken on my birthday….

There’s actually a cable binding both leg bones; I asked the surgeon if we could do a USA Rope
Mod with amsteel.

I know you were joking but that “cable” running across your tibia and fibula is actually a heavy braided UHWMPE suture with either titanium or stainless steel buttons on each end. So, you kind of DID get an amsteel rope mod lol.

I would say that it is not advisable to post your medical record number to internet websites….

Oh, I know! LOL I joked with the surgeon that I’d like an Allen key so I can adjust the cable tension between 3 modes: walk, climb and ski.

EXO K4 pack system drops next week. I decided to wait for the K4 instead of getting the older K3 at Christmas. Glad I waited! I think they’ve built out lots of inventory so they should ship immediately when released. Don’t know if this is a late Xmas prezzie or a really early one!

System overview yt vid posted today:

I have been running the K4 for several months now and it is one of the nicest packs I’ve ever worn. It will be major overkill for the everyday saddle hunter in my opinion. If you want a very easily accessible meat shelf, I would take a hard look at it. It is very adjustable, easily accessible and the materials are awesome. I have tried Kifaru, Mystery Ranch, Eberlestock and Stone Glacier and the Exo is lighter, less “strappy”, meaning straps everywhere to get to the meat shelf or remove the lid or whatever, and overall just easier to adjust and configure.
