New Gear for 2023, Go!

Warmth wise I wonder how these and the FL orgin compare to heavyweight wool baselayers like the FL furnace.
Costco’s Gerry fleece lined outdoor pant would probably do as good of a job as the kuiu pants for a quarter of the price. Fleece lined pants would be a mid-layer for me though not a base layer.

Pretty good look at the latitude sticks. He talks up the attachment method like tethrd hasn’t done it already, kind funny. They look pretty good unless you want to be able to grab onto the step.

I also just noticed it says lightest sticks ever on the thumbnail when they’re obviously not and he never even weighs them lol.

I think we are at the point these companies can say whatever and it doesn’t matter. Attention span at an all time low and fanboy branding at an all time high facilitates these claims. Hunters will buy any gadget, vest or backpack regardless.

He put the question mark at the end of: Lightest Sticks Ever?

Classic click-baity move by the youtubers. Most of them do it these days. It's all for clicks. Since they technically posed it as a question and not a statement, they can make whatever baseless claims they want and are not lying.

It's our sad new reality. Be sure to like, share and subscribe!

I'm not aware that Latitude ever claimed their sticks were the lightest. So far as I know this is just some Youtuber...not a sanctioned Latitude Outdoors spokesperson.

Of course it could be...he only seems to have gear from one company. lol.

Your right, he got me on a technicality that son of a gun.

If/when the attachment ears break off, the sticks are useless. I see that as a big weak point.

Pray companies do due diligence and fall's don't happen. But, to a point, skepticism is healthy.

Did you see the pic of the Tethrd ONE stick with the Dynalock Tab detached and turned backwards? No bueno. Or a picture of a snapped LW climber cable? Yikes.

For sure, this CF is new engineering and skepticism is natural. Justified? Idk. Latitude's track record isn't too bad. Still, skepticism may be healthy until the sticks are proven. When will that be? Idk. We're on multiple generations of other brand stuff.

I suppose, ultimately, our worry should remind us to be safety conscious, always.

Well I have dropped one….lol

Did it break?

I seem to recollect a video from Timber Ninja where they said they frequently drop them from the tree. I thought that rather stupid.

That’s one of my worries. I yeet my crap out of the tree at the end of the night. I was afraid of cracking timber ninjas and the carbon pros. I had to get rid of them.

Yeeting ONE sticks now....
