Carrying climbing sticks in the vertical position have the same risk....no matter how well u got them strapped on in a hard slip and fall things slip and dislodged. I slipped on a wet log and the stick stand off sliced my shoulder and neck. I switched to shorter sticks and carries in the horizontal position.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this. At a little over 3.0 lbs for climbing and platform seems like a win win for long treks. Also no worse than spending 300.00 for a barren ridge that I use for the tall pine thickets.

Their double step ‘platform’ looks decent. If using their whole system, you would need to be very careful about positioning on leaning trees or that ‘ladder’ could swing you around a little. People have found out that multi-step aiders like this have some potential for sketchy climbs. Let us know how you like it when you get some hunts in with it.

Not new by any means but new for this year, the premium beast gear seat is a huge upgrade from the original. 4 sits in and way more durable and infinitely more comfortable. Well worth it

It’s way more comfortable but has a little squeak to it. I even put one on my .75…lol

You Don't Climb All The Way To The Top??? We Have Some Tall Trees Here In Ohio
Our trees get tall especially older pines however most of our hardwoods start fighting for sunlight between 15’ and 25’ so you rarely go any higher than that unless you’re in the pine rows

So you get their emails as well lol. Is this a treehouse knockoff? Seems more... Structural.

Edit: meh just watched the video. Built for self filming/extra padding to protect your cameras. Not for me.

I have never seen a treestand carried any other way.

my locon limit is carried with tree V down

for that stand, there's no teeth so it isn't a safety thing

i wanted to position the shoulder straps to a comfortable position and with the V up it is too narrow and the straps basically ride on my neck area

looks good and a good price...but one thing i love about mystery ranch is just about every medium to large pack has an adjustable yoke system so that you can place the shoulder and waist straps at exactly the right distance for your torso and carry requirements

I have pretty much always carried stands(climbers or lock-on's) tree side or end down. Carried my LEM that way for the same reason as you.

This is pretty slick. Would love to see someone climb down with it...looks like he wraps based on gear on his saddle....

I would like to try it. But I just know the aider right up against the tree is gonna be a pain in the ass.

I don’t think there is a climbing down that. That’s rappel down for sure.

looks like 2 tether climbing but you leave the tethers on the tree...so 12 tether climbing....i'd just 2 tether and rappel down if that was my thing
