Novix tree stand!

Nothing but love for Novix, Beast gear, LWCG, etc. I hope they sell a bazillion stands. And when my alpha needs replacing, I'll be glad to support them.
But, I just can't justify ditching my "old" LW for a new stand just because it's a few lbs lighter.

I just looked it up, and the cell phone I'm typing on right now weighs 8oz. That's half a pound.

A 32oz bottle of water weighs 2lbs.

Seriously, you can shed 2lbs by taking a dump before you go out hunting.

Anybody considering upgrading stands based solely on the weight must be in absolute peak physical condition without an oz of body fat to lose. (Maybe Cody d'aquisto).

Otherwise, I don't need to hear about maximizing hunter mobility.

Yeah I'd shave a few pounds compared to my Vanish XT but with a proper waist belt it's not bad. Going to the mini Novix sticks made a big difference in packability compared to my Hawk sticks. Also adding Stick Talons. I would consider the Echo if I decide that I really need another stand.

I won't have access to mine until Sunday, but read on another forum those seats weigh 2lbs 3oz. 1lb 9oz for the original Assault seat.

Got the stand today. It’s a nice stand that will likely last for decades like every other lone wolf stand. My dad still has his OG lone wolf climber with the metal bars...

I also had this thought go through my head today while trying it out, tho I’d never do it.. it’s the perfect stand to buy if you want two saddle platforms. If you cut up the bottom and add a batwing you have an awesome Klemz platform size and cam action. Use the top as lone wolf platform seat top. Lol I know someone will do it eventually.. mine cost 216 dollars, that’s not bad for two platforms :)

Anyone doing any mods to their Novix yet? Anxious to see some
 
If I like how the V cams down better on the Helo than my 8.5 assault, then I’m going to switch the seats and put the lighter/smaller seat on the helo

That’s all I got in mind for mods

I messaged them yesterday and they said if they don't ship out this week, it will be mid next week. They've apparently jumped on the "order it, we don't have any" wagon that all these other companies practiced when releasing something new. It's a shame because when they first came out with the mini sticks they shipped out in 2 days, not 2 weeks...

8.5 lb assault has a 1” post.
Helo has a 1.25” post.

You sure that seat is going to fit?

I was wondering about that I ordered Sunday and canceled my order Tuesday and they didn't have any updates on my stands for delivery time. They probably shipped out all they had.

I'd imagine they're inundated with orders and it takes longer to make a cast stand than screw some sticks together.

Logistics have been tough this year for everybody. And, would you feel better eating at a restaurant that has a waiting list on a Friday night or one with only 2 cars in the parking lot?

I'm sure you'll get it before you need it. :)

I have one on order. No confmation email no shipping info. I’ll get it when they send it. No big deal. It’s made here in the USA so it sholdent take to long to get caught back up. Novice is a small co and it’s hard to perdect new sales. Came out on July 1st. I hope all of Novix had a long weekend off celebrating our freedom. A lot to like about a 9 lb stand made in the USA on a proven design. Guess my cup is half full
