I was just catching up on the thread. Just got back from Colorado but the saddle never left the truck on this hunt. Season already started in MD for me but only got 1 hang in before I left for Colorado. Had 1 deer blowing off in distance. Will be hunting hard for the next few months.

Good luck to the rest of you guys that your seasons have started!

Awesome!! Hey do you have a cup holder that you use when you are in a saddle? How does that look like?

I do use a cup holder. I like to keep my cell phone in it. It's a metal ring with a screw attached to go into the tree. There is netting that goes around the ring that holds a cup...think it is from HME?

Got it - thanks. This is my first season in a saddle, and I am putting together the final touches of my prep. Reading your post made me think about how I am going to handle my thermos cup...

How's team 4 doing ? I will be out Saturday morning and Sunday all day. Hoping to run into a couple deer. I need 4-5 deer to feed my family for the year...after that its all about antlers, and winning a contest!
Good luck !

Michigan bow opener starts today... AM hunt is a bust. Rain is already coming down pretty steady and looking to get worse. Looks like I’ll be out this afternoon instead.

Well guys it's not a monster but it will put some meat in the freezer! Got this 4 pointer from about 20 yards with my Aero Hunter Kite. Wow is all I can say. My first bow kill!
Congratulations on that first bow buck! And from a saddle no less, something you'll never forget. I still remember the details of my first even from 40 years later.

On a side note I slipped out of work and into a tree this afternoon. First sit of the year. No deer but man was it nice to get out again.

Just got back from a quick walk through my hunting grounds. Scent lok, rubber boots, ect. Grabbed my Excalibur Grizzly and my trail cam cards. The activity is amazing this year....active scrape line, primary scrape, all are being hit hard even though it's still in the high 80's. Got one 10am photo of a big buck in my mock scrape...30 yards from my stand. Now to find the time to sit ALL day. Why do we have to work?
Good luck hunting.

My neighbor just told my wife that he has started getting pics of a non typical with at least 12 points at his stand that is less than 200 yds from my property line. He claims it is the biggest buck he has ever saw on his property (this guy has killed a120" +buck every year for the 5 years I have lived here with his biggest scoring 146") I haven't hunted my property or checked my cameras for about 4 weeks. I think it might need time to sneak back there and pull cards Friday during my lunch break.
