Lots of Wayne national forest in the Southeast ..you also have the only wilderness area in Ohio in Shawnee State forest.
I thought shawnee was getting logged. Or at least parts of it. Last time I drew a beaver permit parts of it looked like the process was about to start on some parts. Likewise witg Zakeski. Wayne was going to have a section logged but that might of got nixed

Wayne and Shawnee are HUGE places I’m sure there’s some small sections that have been timbered in Shawnee I haven’t seen much of any timbering on Wayne In my district ..it needs it in a bad way though.

I live in Muskingum county. Moved here 4 years ago. Most of the wildlife areas (Tri Valley, Powellson, and part of Dillon) are old strip mines and some is flat out not huntable unless you are part billy goat. I have hunted Zaleski and Tar Hollow for years. It’s rough country but not strip mined.

I send to easily get permission to hunt private but you gotta pay anymore.
I hunt AEP land right on the edge of Morgan/Muskingum. Rugged and thick but it holds good bucks.
