OOAL MFG Scout Platform

When I asked the guy from Artisan if they worked on the Beast stick he said they would but it would need to be modified to work.

Yes it works fine on a beast stick no extra drilling.....

i just pulled the trigger. got some oplux and a kong duck too. trying to get my bulk down. weight im not as concerned about.
 
going on my api sticks. im going to try one-sticking a little this off-season and see how i like it.
 
I am curious how the comfort and ability to move to shoot with these, say compared to a platform like the Predator or Ridge Runner. I am seriously considering one especially for early season hunting.

I should be able to provide feedback by the end of the weekend. My 1” Scout is on the way from DanO. I have for comparison: Ridge Runner, DIY Klemz, DIY cut down LW Assault and WE Perch.

Mine will be here tomorrow too. This week hurt the pocket. Just scooped a phantom too. I figure if i dont like anything by the start of season it will be easy enough to get most of my moneys back

I did like the scout I tried very briefly at saddle palooza. Not sure it would work for really long sits but seemed like a nice way to consolidate climbing method and platform.

It’s ergonomic for you ankles. It’s top notch. I had no issue moving around the tree. I’ll give a more in depth review soon but I love this thing already.
 
I got my OOAL Scout platform in from DanO. The unit is well made and has a durable powder coat finish which should hold up well and provide some grip for rubber boots.

Unfortunately, the holes do not line up with Beast Sticks, I thought I read that they did line up...they do not. The top hole lined up, I had to drill the bottom hole which was a bit of hassle. Anxious to try it out, will provide a quick report when I can get into a tree.

Why did you feel the need to use both holes? The second one that doesnt line up isnt necessary. At least that was my understanding from the description. Do your beast sticks have 2 bolts for each step? Not familiar witb them
