OOAL new product (The BOB)

Maybe it’s a spinning barstool style so you can face all directions.

This made me think of the Milennium Revolution ladder stand...and that's when it hit me....

The whole stick isn't in frame. Not because it's a teaser pic (beneath you OOAL), but because it just doesn't fit as it's actually 20' long.

That's right, it's going to be a saddle platform atop a 20' climbing stick. A ladder platform so to speak, first of it's kind, best of both worlds. o_O

Can't wait to hear everyone complaining that Bobs been left in the woods after the season has ended. lol.

This would be great!! It needs to be telescopic as well with fold out climbing steps..... What a buck brush set up for sure too.

Looking at that makes me think it would be semi-comfortable to pass your tether across your chest and sit on the UP as a hybrid “stand”. If you had deer coming in behind you that you didn’t suspect, or just to change things up from a comfort standpoint???

Also like the ability to switch out aiders easily, if need be.
X2

In the no shame thread I mentioned once that I’ve owned the RR (regular size) 3 different times now. And yes I did just sold the 3rd one again recently lol.

I just am now giving ROS a try and spent some time with the set I just got today and have to say I really like it. However I do see myself missing a platform. So it may be time to try the RRXL since it is the middle ground between a hang on tree stand and something super small like the ROS (in my opinion anyway).

To answer your question, the cam over style of the RR is pretty cool. I would not say it’s as tight biting to the tree like a post style platform is, but it worked pretty well for me on most trees. The problem I had with it is that once in a while it would want to tilt over on me if I put too much side pressure on it. I think this was mostly due to not being tight enough on the tree and seemed like trees with real thick spongy bark (like a walnut for example) it also would do this sometimes. That was always in the back of my mind and always bothered me. So that’s why I kept changing my mind, buying and then selling again.

But with the XL, I see myself likely standing on it 95% of the time, so kind of seems like I might not have that side pressure problem with that platform. That’s mainly why I’m tempted to give the XL a try. Also still considering the RR2. I don’t know what I want to do, if anything right now. We’ll see.

A flat scout with a ROS is money!!!

Interesting that OOAL is going back to selling products with cam cleats. Thought a year or 2 ago they stopped offering products with those. Or maybe it was just that one flat hook style deal that didn’t have any moving parts.

They stopped selling the Clam or sailing cleats. This would be the first I’ve seen them offer cam cleat. But I could be wrong.

He said they were going to drill them for cam cleats but leave to the customer to use a cam cleat of their choice. In other words. He is not selling them with cam cleats.

Smarter to CYA that way.
