Thanks. I did some walking around with this quiver attached to both the packseat and using it in conjunction with my backpack and I kind of like it. I really like the lightness and the ability to just reach back and take an arrow and let it slip down until I feel the nock and I'm good to go with very little movement. As soon as turkey season starts, I'll be back in the woods some more and I plan to put it through its paces. If I really like the functionality, I might have to make a more robust version to use or just break down and buy one of the Palmers. Time will tell.
 
Just purchased the turkey version of the pack seat. Any issues with slinging a rifle or shotgun while wearing it on your back?

Yep, it hits it and clanks a bit. I bought a set of these, but haven't installed it yet on my seat. I have used it on my backpack though.

I wanted to share my latest configuration of my PAC seat. I ditched the OE straps and belt and just dedicated a backpack I had laying around to it. This pack wasn’t very expensive and has a belt, which I really like with the seat. So far this has been my favorite setup, although I’ve only had this seat for about 10 months. I do use it for just about any occasion to sit outside, campfires, sporting events, etc. I did add a cushion pad in between the layers of the seat. Since adding the pack, it raised the seat enough it doesn’t contact my legs as much when stepping over logs, deadfall’s and such.

I too have this exact pack although I currently use it for my saddle sits. I may upgrade to a better pack for my saddle sits and use this pack for the same as what you have.
Question: I see the zip ties at the top carrying handle, do you have it secured to the frame in any other spots?

Yes I do. Those are actually gear ties for now. I used a couple ties through the molle loops on the belt where it touch’s the frame. I went with gear ties until I figured out if I was going to like this or not.

Do you always use it in the freestanding position? When the pack is loaded can it still lean against the tree?

Thanks. Played with it a little tonight and knew I was missing something. Felt good but the waist belt didn’t seem to relieve stress off the shoulder straps. I’ll try and add some ties to the waist belt mollies and see if that helps. If need be I’ll go back to the original waist belt but do like the comfort of the extra cushion for the shoulder straps.

Kart I’ve had a pack strapped to mine loaded for a day hunt and had no issues leaning it against a tree. I actually find the seat more comfortable against a tree rather than in free standing, don’t know why but just seems to sit better.

Snagged a pic for you. My plan was to replace the gear ties with zip ties once I got the pack adjusted to my liking.

I wanted to add pics in this thread for anyone considering these seats. I added the Turkey version to my collection of gear and have been really pleased with it. I haven’t deer hunted out of it, but I do drag it with me often. I’ve killed varimints, predators and most anything legal out of it. I think I prefer it over the full-size version. I do like the shorter leg lengths as they don’t hit my legs when I’m stepping over obstacles. I added a small pack for gear. I don’t mind the oe straps for now. I did add a piece of pipe insulation on the front seat bar. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I looked at the turkey model but that just put me too low to the ground, a few inches taller shouldn’t make a difference in being hidden. I can shoot my bow better and it’s a lot easier to get up from. I did cut 3” off the front legs and added wide bottom cane bottoms and that assures me that they won’t sink into soft ground. I also switched out the cheap packing harness with a LWCG shoulder straps and waist belt, a huge improvement.

No I often lean it against a tree. I like that a lot better than freestanding.
