If you looked at the Sage and the RWH the Sage has less vibe after the shot vs the RWH producing more energy and speed. Pretty impressive for a mass produced Chinese import

I thought the same thing. The RWH is extremely light so it doesn’t eat the vibration as well. It really is a pleasure to shoot, but better options I’m sure.

The red wing is light and does vibrate a bit, I agree. One way to tame that is by shooting heavy arrows. You'll harness that energy and have a very potent projectile when it gets to the target. I'm not talking 10gpp, I mean 675-750 grains. That's at any draw weight. That puts a 45 pound draw in the 15+gpp range. Of course it's good for your sage also.

Ok from your video, the Red Wing look like it jumped A LOT, is that from switching hands or are you saying that the Sage is that much better? Serious question.

Thanks buddy. I went with the @Razorbak66 special top coat... one part 2 parts epoxy to five parts acetone. I was uber-skeptical at first because my experience with two part epoxy has been a gloppy one in the past. After I set out into it though, it turned out amazing!

Makes an awesome wood arrow finish as well.

It’s really not a lot of vibration to me. I only noticed a difference in speed and a little vibration shooting them back to back. I’m shooting around 600 grains right now.

I’m left eye dominant and shoot it almost exclusively so the difference in bows has nothing to do which way I was shooting them. The sage was faster and had less vibration. I still prefer the RWH but that’s more for looks and preference. I was just noting that the sage is a solid bow.

Not all of us can justify $400+ traditional bows. The one time I spent $350 for one I felt so sick I sold it the same week. Lol

I get it man…… took me a lot of saving and a lot of convincing the wife to get my current bow. Once we had zero debt I finally got my current bow.

Oh don’t get me wrong I got the money for it but I’m still in the “is it worth it” for the money type of middle-class upbringing mindset. Basically, I’m a cheapskate when it comes to buying stuff for myself. Good on you for having financial wisdom to prioritize debt over toys. I have lots of friends that can’t and haven’t ever done that. They have a lot of toys but they are drowning in the burden of financial debt.

Yeah zero debt is really helping now that my father in law Is declining rapidly. It became worth it for me though based on trad is the only thing I do. I haven’t looked back and haven’t purchased another bow since.

There is a law of diminishing returns that is not often talked about. Is a 900 dollar bow really 750 bucks better than a Sage, probably not. But it is a lot better and since trad is the only thing I do I bit the bullet.

I was able to in previous years able to come across some steaks in the custom world and probably my second best bow was bought out of a custom makers inventory. It was a 1k bow that I ended up getting for 350 bucks.

I have 2 Sage bows. Both new. I’m gonna do a lot of the suggestions on this thread. Especially the sanding. Gonna use one for Bowfishing and one for regular hunting which I have never shot a deer with a traditional bow and it’s on my list!
