Splurged on an elite omnia today

I got a single pin slider for my new bow. While it is nice to have next to zero clutter, if I got to do it over I would get a two pin.
Yes they do, forgot that. It came with performance mods, no plans to switch to smooth/comfort at this point but who knows maybe some day. I like to tinker and have been looking at building myself a bow press/copying the past parallel lca fingers. But I also like to plan more than I actually do, so for now that's firmly in the "we'll see someday" list. Real priority is that I need to put practice time in for sure and get used to pulling a 70 lb bow instead of a ~55 lb one over the next few months. I may turn out the limbs two turns or so (they say 3 max) to bring it down somewhere into the 60s, might not, so buying arrows for 70 as I assume slightly overspined is better than slightly underspined. this one didn't feel remarkable harder/different than the other 6 or so bows I tested, the bowtech ss34 may have been a touch easier to draw but felt harder to hold. Largest issue was by the end of testing and shooting relatively quickly I started to fatigue a bit so it got harder to compare. Back wall, grip, and overall weight made this one win out for me, but it was a bit hard to decide, they all felt a ton better than the bow that cost 1/3 as much (gee I wonder why) and I felt like I rushed myself a bit to make a decision because of not wanting to get too tired/meeting my folks for dinner after and (the silliest reason but I still thought it - not wanting to waste too much of the employee's time). Not unhappy with the decision at all, just hindsight is 20/20. I was also torquing the heck out of all the bows, so some relax and let go of the riser practice is needed as well, thinking some of my poor form didn't show up as easily with the old bow and these ones definitely let those things come through.Don't these have smooth and performance mods? I could be mistaken, I drool over a lotta bowsIf so which one are you shooting? I think performance is stock/standard
Also fwiw, both myself and the dude I told you about with the starbursting issue are with BG. I'm happy with the quality of mine ( dual trac) , but do almost wish I had stuck with 3 fixed pins

Interesting to hear your thoughts! I'm a little newer to archery than you, I think. I did a similar thing in NOV, mostly motivated by Fear Of Missing Out when I bought my solution SS. The grip is especially interesting, it's one thing that drew me to the BT, and the butter draw cycle. I hope to hear positive reviews on your new rig! I'm back and forth, but I shoot it good enough. I wish Elite had a better dealer presence! ( and Athens but that's not here nor there)
@thedutchtouch if you’re looking for a slider, I’ve been a fan of the CBE tactic hybrid 3 pin. Lower cost, solid and can work as a fixed 3 pin with 1 pin set as slider

After you get the press, new sight, new rest, and new scope, you are going to need to stop spending for a couple days.
The sight and scope are backburnered for a while if this trigger gets pulled lol that's the main debate. Spending my July budget a bit early.
Perhaps I should sell some of the things I don't use that much any more
Move some where with a bigger garage instead!
They make a tool to separate the string so you can get a peep in without a press. Even easier if it's a new bow with the center string serving still in it

Check S and S Archery for sale items. They frequently have BG and SH sights in there. I mean, if it’s not a canyon pounder. AAE Prophecy, QAD and Hamskea are all good choices. Good Tip Airstrikes are 8.5 grains for a 300 spine.

My sight and scope plans maaaay have been pressed into the future. Thank you, enablers (including those registered here and my brother), and some Friday night beverages.
Looks like I'm putting the ez-v on my omnia for now. At least I'll be able to get the peep in the exact right spot for it.
Justin's driveway archery emporium will be open for visitors soon. I may actually mount it on a 2x6 that I can clamp down to a workbench or put in the back of my truck and bring to a saddlehunters gathering near you.
Now I definitely need to sell some things off. Who wants a predator xl platform? Bought it before I realized tethrd sucks lol. (Not an actual classified I'll follow the rules later with a real post)

No, no I don't. Lol i woke up half regretting/half excited. I read about/watched videos of a lot of somewhat sketchy pipe clamp and 2x4 presses for the first few beers, then started browsing online metal depot for the next few, and then said screw it a few later. But yeah, ramen for lunch/dinner when I don't have my kids here for a while I guess.
Drawboard attachment does seem like it'll be easier to DIY without damaging the bow than the press as well.
Tons of plans for draw boards. Under $50 and solid. My buddy uses one on a 2x6 and it’s fine if you don’t mind mounting in somewhere other than the press.
