Team 11 thread

Dude, you need to get your priorities right. Isn't hunting season a valid reason to be excused??
Good luck tonight!!

I know, right? Lol

Didn’t see anything but a bunch of squirrels. Still a good time for the first time out. Only thing I forgot was a headlamp. Makes the hike out interesting with only a phone light.

Tons of acorns and some decent sign near a water source.

I pulled the card from a camera I have up on the hill behind my house and found I've got another bear roaming around which is awesome. Rest of the pics were does, a few coyotes and my dumbass neighbor on his quad. Going to hunt up there tomorrow in the afternoon till dark and see if I can let an arrow fly.
Sunday I'm heading to PA to move a cell cam and do some scouting since there's no hunting on Sunday's there . My buddy showed me some picks of the bucks in the area and WOW!!

I was really bummed out because today was an 80% chance of thunderstorms all day. We had a few thundershowers this morning and I just looked at the hourly forecast and the rain chances are down to 17% for the rest of the day!! I'm gonna try to go set up by the lake near some persimmons that my husband scouted a few days ago and saw a ton of deer at.

Good luck! I always plan to hunt regardless of the weather unless I know without a doubt that it’s a complete washout. I’ve been burned several times by the forecast.

Just shot a small doe :) I saw a doe coming that was bigger, and it disappeared into the brush. A few minutes later I see a doe come out of the brush and I thought it was the one I saw, but apparently not because that one ran off after I shot (facepalm) but I'm still excited! My first deer out of my saddle and my second one to haul out on my kayak

Good work! Tender meat! And 5 points!!

Yep. The RF refered to this as the foamer. I see why now. I hoped in a tree along the little field next to the barn. She walked right by my truck. Down the field following my scent. She apparently didn't know that it means trouble. I stayed patient this time. Waited for the good shot. Then I sent one through both lungs to fill the freezer. View attachment 53959
Way to get it done Matt, Congrats!

Warm, wet, and humid here in Michigan. Not that I am opposed to sitting in rain. Just not the first weekend in October. Don't plan on hunting to much around here unless it cools off some. Other than that will go sit with my son in the little blind behind my parents house. He is 6 and wants to go hunting. So trying to keep him interested. Had him shoot the xbow some this summer. But not putting arrows close enough on the target yet. Don't want to make for a bad experience. He's got a lot of energy. So he makes me a little nervous.
