Team 11 Thread

Sorry didn’t get alerts on the thread and wasn’t paying attention. Anyway season opens up in the morning here in Michigan and I will be out. Gonna be a bit of a warm week so not sure what I will do if a doe comes in or not. Good luck everyone

We are expecting a pretty good cool down here in Ky next weekend, shows low 50’s and some 40’s at night and 60’s for day, been out scouting today! Hopefully that will get some of these shooters on their feet.

Well i tried. Hunted yesterday and today. Had a nice 3.5yo main frame 8 with some junk at 20 yards. Either shot high or he ducked a little. Guessing high lung.

Called tracking dog after i lost blood at 150yds. Searched from 9-1. Still sick about it

Man that sucks. Hate to say I know the feeling. It’s still early season though so there is plenty of time to shake it off.

First hunt of the year on some public near the house resulted in a real close encounter with a doe and 2 fawns. Came to full draw twice on the doe never got presented with a great shot opportunity.

We finally got a break in the weather this weekend--lows in the thirties and forties, highs in the fifties. Unfortunately (for me) it was also the youth deer season. At least the weather brought some fresh ducks and geese into the area.

Hes small but not too horrible for public this time of year. i cant get a doe in range and leaving for WY for antelope hunt this week. Gives us a few points

Good luck all!

Man talk about a quick redemption! Way to stay after them! Congrats!

Thanks man we’re excited!
I forgot about the baby. I change my recommendation. Get the kitchen done while you still have money. You won't once the baby gets here. Plus, you won't have time to camp for at least a year or more.

But more importantly ALWAYS do what the pregnant woman asks. My wife will tell you I failed miserably at this when she was pregnant but, I consider myself older and wiser now (Or this might seem like a good idea now that we won't be having any more kids)
Congrats gcr!
Just to be positive... its definitely not as relaxing but my wife and I started camping again around 6 months old so it is possible, you might just have to do some things a little different. He loves camping now. Will be 2 in December. We're having #2 end of April. My season is getting tricky too.

Got a small doe yesterday so now it's just as many upgrades as I can shoot. This Saturday looks like rain all day so if I get one it most likely won't be In a saddle.

That’s awesome! We are hoping to still do fun stuff like that despite the extra effort itll take to do it with an infant/toddler. I know we are in for a huge change and we don’t know what all that entails but we’re excited for it. Congrats on #2! I hear they’re quite the handful but the biggest blessing in life.

Nice doe, 5 more points to keep us from falling behind on the leader board!

Taking off this Thursday and Friday and headed to camp for our 3 day early muzzleloader season. I'll be carrying my recurve all weekend (who wants to clean a muzzleloader). The forecast looks like it's going to rain all day Friday and Saturday. Still trying to decide if I hold out and try to fill my second and last buck tag for the year, or shoot the first doe I see on Thursday and avoid the rain?
