Could have easily taken a doe this morning but it's to early to burn the tag. It's been chilly, wet hunting so far this weekend. Nevertheless it's great to be out again.
Once youve dragged a doe 2 miles up n down hills you tend to stand down on those shots a little easier the next timeHoping to have some points on the board in the near future. Could’ve shot a doe the other night, but I was pretty deep in public and I’ve got other spots that shouldnt be a problem to harvest one on and help manage the herd there too. No shooter bucks in sight yet.. how’s everyone else making out?
I did the same thing shot a doe last night & forgot to get a pic.... don’t worry I’m good for my limit.Northern NY here. Shot a doe last Sunday but it was so warm that I rushed through processing it and forgot to get a picture with the saddle. My bad guys. I'll be back at it this weekend. Weather is looking good.

The worst is when you are second guessing yourself while sitting in Plan B spot. Always wondering if they are walking by plan A. This time you have confirmation which stings hard.Second guessing myself may have cost me a good one..... set up in an area last night and the sign was there.....put a camera up....climbed in my stand and nothing.......should’ve went back this morning, but I love second guessing myself and sat else where. Check the buck on the right hand side. View attachment 36012

That dude is a monster! Good luck!Saw that buck at 225 yards in the field this evening with his little friend. Let’s hope I’m one step closer to checkmate!
Man you could second guess yourself to death but it’s raining acorns here & they are just starting to hammer them. I’d be 30yds away from that cameraSo I’ve got some acorns deer were in this morning, and last night I thought I saw a buck enter, but then I saw the big boy come off of a field corner..... I’m torn between the food source, or hoping he comes off that field corner again? The oaks would be about 30yards away from the photo of him. Thoughts?
I'm with @Bigterp, given a proper wind direction, I'd be targeting that camera location. So I’ve got some acorns deer were in this morning, and last night I thought I saw a buck enter, but then I saw the big boy come off of a field corner.....
