Team 5!

Hoping to have some points on the board in the near future. Could’ve shot a doe the other night, but I was pretty deep in public and I’ve got other spots that shouldnt be a problem to harvest one on and help manage the herd there too. No shooter bucks in sight yet.. how’s everyone else making out?
Once youve dragged a doe 2 miles up n down hills you tend to stand down on those shots a little easier the next time :tongueclosed:

Northern NY here. Shot a doe last Sunday but it was so warm that I rushed through processing it and forgot to get a picture with the saddle. My bad guys. I'll be back at it this weekend. Weather is looking good.

I did the same thing shot a doe last night & forgot to get a pic.... don’t worry I’m good for my limit. ;)

Part 2... Pulled out a fawn bleat to try n stop ol slickhead in her tracks as she was trottin away. Hit it once n dropped that too. All thumbs today boys. Im worried to touch my bow...

Second guessing myself may have cost me a good one..... set up in an area last night and the sign was there.....put a camera up....climbed in my stand and nothing.......should’ve went back this morning, but I love second guessing myself and sat else where. Check the buck on the right hand side. 58D84A4A-585D-4298-B038-7D403E9080D9.jpeg

The worst is when you are second guessing yourself while sitting in Plan B spot. Always wondering if they are walking by plan A. This time you have confirmation which stings hard.
I have to tell myself to make a decision and just enjoy my time out or my mind will get me going to where it is less fun. Enjoyment has become my number 1 priority this year.
At least it is early in season and they may be patterned there. Good luck!

So I’ve got some acorns deer were in this morning, and last night I thought I saw a buck enter, but then I saw the big boy come off of a field corner..... I’m torn between the food source, or hoping he comes off that field corner again? The oaks would be about 30yards away from the photo of him. Thoughts?

Man you could second guess yourself to death but it’s raining acorns here & they are just starting to hammer them. I’d be 30yds away from that camera

I'm with @Bigterp, given a proper wind direction, I'd be targeting that camera location.

First camera check for a new property this year. It’s less than two miles from my house. Drove my SxS there to check. Two bucks worth looking at after a week of marinating. What you guys think? Buck one - short wide 8; buck two with split brow and taller; or wait to see what’s on the other property cameras i have not checked?
