Team 9

Well team… many of you started out with doubts, doom and gloom. I started out confident, until… I got a photo on my cam the other day of a buck I was after last year that disappeared after gun season. Well he just resurfaced and now I am fixated on him. I really hope I don’t let you all down but I’m going big, looking to put 15 points on the board with one kill. If I don’t get him by December I’ll promise to abort my mission and take a lesser one. Fingers crossed!

Doom and gloom . . . . . Again

Not yet. My son wants me home next weekend so I’m hunting Friday afternoon-Monday morning this week. That’ll give me around 20 hours in the saddle this weekend.

If I see nothing, this is a stupid sport and horrible waste of money. If I see deer, have them close or bring one home, best activity in the world.

We can’t have a name unless the entire team likes it. Otherwise it’s just team 9. But we can AAAAASSSSSEEEEEMMMMMBBBLLEEEEE!!
Hope your right about the good season part!

3 more hours and I'm off work...trucks loaded....just gotta treat my clothes.and gas up the truck tonight and I'm ready for in the morning

Rain is now forecast to be heavier but end sooner tomorrow so I should get a few hours in tomorrow evening.

Going in blind (no preseason scouting), do I go conservative and hunt the edge of the woods or go aggressive and work deeper in?

I’m hunting all weekend and think I’ll be conservative tomorrow and get more aggressive over the weekend.

Looks like the wind is going to dictate where I'm going. My conservative spot requires a north wind but the wind will be blowing south Friday. I'll put a trail cam at that spot tomorrow afternoon and go sit somewhere along the northeast corner. Winds shift Friday night through the weekend to a NW wind which'll give me alot of options and the trail cam will give me a better idea.

Still breathing..lol. Heading to Wisconsin tomorrow for the weekend

You’ll like that Method 2. It’s what I used last year and am using this year. When it wears out, it’ll be a 1:1 swap.
