Totally did forget, I have no excuses except that I have three kids.......
So I packed this one out, it was an relatively easy pack out. Made a 63 yard shot, watched him fall. My first crossbow whitetail. I have to admit I was unsure how I'd feel about this moment, becoming a crossbow hunter. It felt no less satisfying, I still got just as jazzed up seeing him tip over! Now on to filling the rest of my buck tags... should be an adventure!

Weather's so nice today....breezy and cool. Jumped a doe up during grey light and almost got a shot off but too much junk covering her body and low light I didn't get a shot. Then I seen a deer and snuck over to it and was drawn and I seen the little antlers. Here if the spikes antler is under 5 u can take or if the main beam is 10" or more.....this guy definetly wasn't under 5 and definetly not more than 10. I also saw a bobcat kitten.....teeny tiny and adorable

Was a good evening. Had 5 doe come in, and 2 small bucks. The property I’m on has restrictions, so no shots tonight!

Well the hurricane is in town! Looks like rain most of the weekend. I'll be out in it this evening, it's looking huntable. I haven't hunted a hurricane since 2012, I was living in NC at the time that sandy rolled through. Everyone was hunkered down and I went deer hunting, I didn't see what the fuss was about, it was a little more than a drizzle and I killed 2 deer! Not another truck at the gamelands for 3 days!! Lol hopefully it's not a downpour and it not terribly windy. I'll be in a wind row splitting 2 fields.

Just stalked on what I thought was a big doe and got to within bow range but he got antlers.....and they are too big for 5"and under and too small to be over 10".
We've been going round.and round for 20 minutes in this bottom....ground hunting so so fun and exciting...
See....when u wear ur saddle from the truck they all saddle kills....hahahaha
