No sign of hitting him. Snow was really patchy and I’m fairly confident it was a clean miss. The shot felt good. But anything that far in the woods
Around here is bound to hit something.

2 days left in my season. Going to high elevation tomorrow where there still lots of snow.
 
Well.... Had a half day vacation today to finish my archery season out on public. Didn't make it, fighting a terrible head cold. Hoping to still get out before Sunday afternoon!?!? I finish up Jan 1. Then reduction zone until Jan 31. Suppose to hunt out of two later stand at my work property for reduction, might try and sneak my saddle out there. Real bummer I had a nice spot on public that I was pretty confident on arrowing a doe!!
 
Weather sure went to **** here. It was cold like everywhere else, but now it's warmed up and rain on and off last 3 days.

Yeah we went from -1 with snow on the ground to a high of 70 yesterday! Although I saw more deer in one evening than I ever have in my entire hunting career. Counted 37 deer out feeding. Guess how many shooter bucks out of that 37? Yup zero. still one more week of season here in TN. Ill be out there at least 2-3 more hunts. GL all.
 
My season is officially over. I’ve hunted my ass off and achieved all of my goals. While there’s several big bucks I never caught up to, I got one with the bow and one on the snow. I’m ready for some much needed rest and there’s a whole lot of chores and work responsibilities in dire need of my return.
 
I have to admit that I wish the contest would count all deer, even the ones not in the saddle. I want to plan every hunt strategy for optimal success and not worry about which technique will get the points.
 
Contest adds just a bit more fun to the hunt. I'm just glad they don't give a prize to everyone.

congrats. I know most of my gun season hunts are just off the ground/no saddle. I do kind of wish we could still rack up some more points for additional does though. Maybe 1-2 points for each additional doe? either way, I'm feeling good about our lead. Good job yall.
