Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

Yeah I sold them they are nice!! but not for me. I'm using the .5 with 3 OG LW sticks and one aider on bottom. It's fast quick and made in USA.

what makes you choose the OG LW sticks over the integration and foot room of the custom gear compacts or full length?

They are lighter and are really 32inch long and I don't need the foot room. I have small feet. I can set up quiet quick and move fast if I need. My setup is about 14 lbs

Put these in my cart and didn’t pull the trigger 4-5 times. Read through 21 pages of this thread last week and finally went through with the purchase. Stealth stripped them and put them on my pack. Basically sprinted around the block. I was happy with them on the tree right away but should test with bigger boots, I’m a size 13 so I’d like to make sure I feel ok in cold gear for late Iowa hunts before I sell my Hawk sticks. Figure I won’t get much more than $50-$75 out of them anyway so keeping what I know works isn’t awful for the wallet.

You’ll be glad you got them. I had the same hesitation but I luv em! I’m a 13 shoe size also. Found that if you don’t try to get on too big of a tree you’re fine.

What diamiter is too big of a tree?
What happens on a bigger tree?

Try to stay at or under a basketball circumference. You’ll just have less room or space and have to V your feet out more. Slightly less contact of your foot on the step. I’ve hunted a lot of trees and actually the volleyball to basketball size trees are the most comfortable and still hide your outline pretty well. I’m 250lb and 6’3”.

I just put the Vital Ground 18in single step aiders on my set. They stow away well and don’t effect stacking. Haven’t climbed with them yet, but I think they’ll work well.

I did the same. Only put the three step VG aider on my bottom stick. Size 12 boot. I think that I'll like the setup. Still have my LW OGs just in case.

Stopped by the Tethrd Customer Appreciation Day this past weekend at their headquarters. Ended up picking up a 4 pack of the One sticks. These things are light compared to my Beast sticks.
Stealth strips on order and need to make up my mind on aider/aiders. Have cable aiders on my Beast sticks, but not an option for the One's.
I like the concept of the BWMG GC Single, but not sure how that would go in the dark. The amsteel VG single aiders look good as well, but not sure on finding the foot location coming down in the dark.

GC single is better in the dark. You aren’t fishing around with your foot trying to find the aider. It’s always on your foot.

Thank you. I would think the same as the GC is going to be about knee height and visible when looking down. The Amsteel is a blind step so to speak.

The GC single is the best aider by far for the one stick. You have to deburr your steps before using it however. I climbed 2 trees and saw significant fraying of the webbing my steps were so sharp
