Tethrd One Sticks Gen 2

Received refund for 2 sets on Tuesday. I called on Monday after seeing my sticks were delivered. They promptly located the sticks and issued full refund, including shipping.

I was curious about getting refund of original shipping. Good to know. I’m still looking for a box for my single so I haven’t sent anything back yet

UPS store can sell you most any type box you need.
 
I called and specifically requested it. I had already put stealth strips on and they credited that back as well. I’d encourage calling to talk to them throughout the process.

Mine were delivered Wendsday. Stealth strips installed. I put a note requesting a refund and they refunded the full amount for the 3 orders today. I never did get a call from someone or an email. 2 emails and several calls with voicemails left. I will be washing my hands of them going forward. I am happy with the end results at this point.

Anyone know how good the EWO ultralights are?
 
Have they tested any sticks yet? I guess I'm the only person who would rather keep them?

Theyre awesome sticks, no doubt. The only thing that I wasn’t huge on is the offset stacking, but it’s not a huge deal. I own a set and a set of beast sticks. The two best in my opinion! Even if they aren’t the lightest.
 
EWO are decent sticks. Had a few steps wobble but they replaced them.

The standoffs are pretty noisy on smooth bark trees. They stack meh… also looks like they the changed the ultra light standoff weight rating to 250lbs.

Best double step sticks on the market IMO are beast sticks but they lack foot room and not great to pack.

Lone wolf custom gear compacts are the best packing and great foot room but they aren’t double step and add some fiddle factor.

That’s just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I would swear by the EWO ultralights! Best standoff out there, imo

I’ve owned lone wolf sticks for ~15 years or so. Very similar stacking and the EWO are easier in my opinion.

I am a big dude, so with gear and everything on I need a bit of a buffer. I am not going to risk it with anything under 300. Its a shame since the LWCG are rated at 250 as well. I guess I could build them without the UL standoff or go with the beast sticks.

My preseaon weight would be right at the max. Towards the end of the season may come in at around 220 or so.

man i really feel bad for you guys who have these sticks and have to return them with the new season so close.
Its gonna be very difficult to get a set of sticks anywhere before September 1st which is my opener.
This is one of the reasons I own 2 sets of sticks both beast sticks snd lwcg double steps.
If one set goes down im still in the game.
At one time a few years back i was kind of a gear retard lol.
I owned 6 different set of sticks and multiple different stands and diy platfotms lol
Hope these guys rush a bit so people can still hit opening day.

I hope so.
Not that it is any buyers fault but,
Man the timing is awful for the recall and i feel bad for guys who were actually counting on these sticks.
my season opens the 1st. Im sure they can get sticks somewhere though.
Gonna be very interesting to see how tethrd deals with this kind of repeating dilemma
