Add me to the MR Pop Up 28 list. I don't have pix handy at the moment. I got it this year wanting something on the smaller end that made long walks a breeze and would allow me to pack a deer out. I've used it two ways this season: 1 - packing WE stepps in the bag, layers strapped to the outside, wearing my saddle/platform in. 2 - packing layers in the bag, strapping sticks to the outside, wearing my saddle/platform in. #2 is what I've been doing lately in anticipation of my beast sticks coming in. I take the sticks off at the tree, put one on the tree, one on each side of the saddle, pull my 2nd one up while on the first step. 4 sticks up I take out my gear hanger and strap to the tree, attach my pack to it, attach my platform and switch to my tether. Once I'm on my platform I get my layers on. Top pouch has my essentials: calls, range finder, flash light, release, license, gopro, etc. That stays open while I'm in the tree. Front pouch has my kill kit: basically game bags and knife.
At this point, if I didn't want to have something with me to pack a deer out, I'd probably just roll without a pack. However, it's been awesome to have and it makes any weight you do carry feel like nothing. Two things I'd improve on it: make the material quieter, make the zippers quieter. Not issues that would make me get rid of it though because once I've got it hanging in the tree I'm basically not touching it.
