Cheap deer Hunting

Cheapest way to chase whitetail is stick to the 2 legged type! Sure they may cost you a house and a kiddo or 2 but they’re still a heck of a lot cheaper than the 4 legged ones ESPECIALLY the 4 legged ones with big old antlers!

im not sure if i agree with this one lol. The 2 legged are a life sentence.
the 4 legged is just a butcher and chest freezer fee

Yeah I think the cheapest way to hunt is a cheap crossbow and a good chair. You can get a camping chair for like $6 at Academy. Don’t need a $300 one. You can get a crossbow capable of killing a deer for around $300. They usually come with a couple of arrows. Otherwise Bloodsport arrows are decent for the money. eBay Swhackers or Chinadermics are about a $1 each. In place of camo you can get a cheap leafy suit. North Mountain makes a pretty nice one.

I'm really liking the ground game. I've killed 13 deer this yr on nuisance tags, all from the dirt w/no camo.

Only issue is that they can’t use that rifle during archery season but most places allow archery during gun season. My hunting season was extended quite a bit with a bow.

Excellent point. I initially got into archery because it extended my season and let me put more meat in my freezer. Now I'm more passionate about it than I was 15 years ago. My thinking was geared more towards someone trying to put up venison, or figure out if deer hunting is something they want to invest in, on a budget.

A walk around Goodwill will get you tons of great clothes for hunting or everyday life. If you want to get into traditional archery Amazon has some amazing package with everything you need. Ask even the most hardcore traditional bow hunters, they will admit that CNCed bows today shoot just as well as their expensive custom.
