Tree Styx

I got another set. All have been on a tree already… hoping they were tested and not returns.

What's the over/under on how long enkriss keeps these? 2 weeks is my guess LOL.

I have been using 3 sticks all season - bottom with a 2 step aider & a movable single on the other 2. All good so far. I also have a set of Gen 1 Ones without issue for the past 3 yrs. Maybe I’m glue lucky.

I bought a four pack with the integrated aiders. I’ve used them all season. 40+- set ups. I have only needed two sticks with a backwoods moveable 3 step aider for all of my set ups, sometimes only one stick. No issues all season. Hindsight, I would have bought the non aider version (those weren’t available when I bought mine). Having the integrated aider hasn’t been an issue, even using the 3 step aider, I just don’t deploy the integrated aider. These are louder on hard barked trees, which is the only negative I can identify so far. With the new micro doubles from LWCG, I wonder if those might be a better option given the packability with my LWCG stands. I can use the same 3 step aider and only use 2 sticks and accomplish the same thing. Either way, nothing bad to report on the Tree Styx, they are a great option in my opinion.

LWCG new Double steps are nice……. Just not enough foot room for me. I had the 17” V2 version. I bet the 14” Micros have limited foot room as well. The Compacts are the best sticks LWCG makes in my opinion but the are twice the weight of treestyx and have the fiddle factor of spinning steps and brackets.

My set of Tree Styx have been great. I keep monitoring the joints and everything is good so far…..no wiggle for me. The Treestyx are the best sticks out there for weight and function. Long term durability is the million dollar question. They can be a little loud setting the stick on hard bark trees as others have mentioned.

This is the response I got from Jamie at TreeStyx when I asked him if they would replace a stick if the epoxy mixed with solid particle that joins the step/standoff to the main tube fails outside of the 1 year warranty:
"If you ever have an issue with your Tree Styx call us and we’ll get you taken care of."

That's the 1 hangup I have about these sticks: the epoxy. They need to rely on a mechanical fastener first and foremost. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this before I sold my 4 Timber Ninja C1s. After using my dad's Tree Styx I was all in on them. I was too impulsive. Lol

If anyone (first 5 ppl free) has a (1) dis-bonded stick, if you pay for shipping both ways i can bond it back together in a way that will never come undone. And no, I wouldn't use epoxy.....

What would you use??

Purely technical data: Epoxies, especially certain more readily available ones and self curing ones, don't do well with extreme temperature variations as well as cyclic loading. They also need a certain bond gap thickness. Enkriss made a very good point about that.

Would you be interested in selling two, since it sounds like you don’t use them?

Anyone got an update on how these have handled cold/colder hunts?

Or a general update on their opinions?

No update. Still the best in the game

Same here. Love the attachment method. I think it’s better than the tethrd button. I’ve put these sticks thru it all season in all kinds of weather.
