Trophyline mission

It’s the same offset bracket lone wolf has been using for many years. It’s a non issue. It’s the same thing they used on the assassin.

99% of the batwings use was on treestands. This is a non-issue on treestands as they do not encounter sideways pressure. The only platform they used that bracket on was the Assassin and that product was sold very limitedly back in the day. There are more Assassins being used now than when they were released back in the day.

This isn't up for opinion man, I can put a video of me camming the platform any which way you want. Above center, at center, below center, Toe Lift, and cam, whatever you want. I will be able to make this platform fail with side pressure. It is because of the batwing. I actually have Two mission platforms. One with a predator bracket another with the batwing. I can cam them both identically, make the batwing fail and then hop on the predator bracket and it will not.

I'm sharing this info because odds are it will save someone's bow when they have the stand kickout, swing around the tree in their saddle and their tether knocks their bow from their bow holder.

I would like to see the video. I feel it takes side pressure extremely well. The only way I was able to get it to come loose was standing behind the pivot point folding it. I just went outside and tried jumping on the sides of the platform. She flexed a bit but didn’t budge.

The platform is very solid, no denying that. But it does/ can kickout on direct side pressure. I have a couple of videos of it. It is a pain in the ass to upload videos though. I can try and clip them if you want to PM your email. I just tested it again in the 4 or 5 trees in the backyard. What i'm noticing is on hard bark trees its extremely solid to side pressure, on softer bark trees it's really dependent on the offset biting in. If it isn't seated well into the layers of bark the offset will pivot with side pressure.

I compared it directly to the ambush. The ambush has A LOT more flex but the teeth bite in really well regardless of tree size, angle, whatever. I can jump on the side and it will flex but the teeth will not give and kick.

The Mission is really dependant on how well the offsets bite, sometimes its even more worth it to cam it slower to allow the offset to move and bite instead of the platform just shifting into level.

We have a lot of flaky pine trees in florida so i'm interested to how it'll set.

Late to the thread but for anyone who is interested I ordered this morning and its already on the way. I also have the TL ambush pro saddle and although I changed the bridge it’s an amazing saddle. I’m looking forward to the platform and from everything I have read, I will not be disappointed. Also if you are a vet they give an insane discount that isn’t comparable to others.

I received the Mission early this week. Although I have a Ridge Runner, and I like it, I wanted to try the Mission platform as I believe in the virtual silence of cast platforms. I have hunted Lone Wolf Products since they started many years ago and the Mission is definitely derived or influenced by the Lone Wolf Design. I'm sure this is why the Predator platform went the cast route as well. Anyway, my feelings so far on the Mission is that it is a very nice, well built product. For me, it secured to the tree with ease and was solid. For the limited time I got on it, I was not able to kick it out nor did I feel or sense that it was going to kick out. As far as flex, I am 6'2" and 245lbs. I didn't notice flex in the platform. As you apply weight to any platform, it "sets" into the tree, which can initially feel like a little flex or sponginess. I felt it was rock solid. I'm not saying someone can't make it "kick out", you could probably make anything "kick out". I tested the Mission next to the Ridge Runner and both are excellent platforms. I have yet to hunt out of the Mission, so I will be interested to see how it does in a true hunting situation.

Just ordered one. Even thought I think we're in borderline hang on territory, it's still like 8-9lbs lighter than my XOP Vanish. Plus I think my biggest issue with comfort last season was the platform size. I'm not a big guy but I didn't like feeling cramped on my Artisan mini platform. Also my Novix mini sticks should pair with it nicely.

Came today. Can't complain about the turnaround time. Seems pretty solid.

How's everyone with the mini sticks strapping them to the platform? I sat them in the built in grooves and tried Nite Ize gear ties to secure them but they were a little wobbly for me. I may order the 2ft quick straps from Novix. Or I could just stack them all together and strap them sideways against the post.

Awesome Platform after having it a few weeks now.

A guy up the thread mentioned kick out due to the batwing design and i dont know what he is doing different but i gotta tell you i CANNOT get this thing to move with side pressure. Im 240 and I can stand right on the edge and push and bounce all i want to try to make it move and it wont its just locked on rock solid. This is on about a 9 or 10" tree. The bottom teeth are exactly like my 20 yo Lone Wolf stand they dont need to be any sharper. The thing bites so hard those bottom teeth leave fairly large gouges in the bark. They arent moving side to side for nothing.

Now, if i work at it enough and bounce repeatedly at the teeth on the platform right behind the post i can get it to slide down a little bit, almost like doing a toe hook and recamming it. But im talking like a half inch or so, maybe not even that much. When i got it to do that it just cammed even tighter to the tree when i stepped on it again.

Buy with confidence, this thing is rock solid.

Update. I picked up some of the tarp bungees from Wally World and they seem to work pretty well using the built in grooves.

Received the new Ambush today. Here's some info on it and some pictures to see how it compares to the mission.

I just returned my ambush !!!! In my opinion I think its way over priced and i could not get that thing to stop making noise!! I think its to thin and flex's awful you cant put side pressure on it without it making noise from flexing. I just ordered a mission !!!
