It works great. I was skeptic at first to. I thought it would possibly slip since Amsteel is so slick but I was just wrong. It holds great.I was a skeptic and even told Greg I had no clue AMSTEEL would work like that and that I had my doubts. I was wrong. I can say 100% after having tested it every sit this year - it does NOT move - at all. Anyone can make or tweak a saddle, not everyone can be innovative while doing so.
Yall acting like this is a breakthrough....
I cut off my 8mm double fisherman's knot and put on a ropeman. Iike it way better personally. I like an adjustable bridge and found it to be a pain when its -15 and the rope is basically frozen to adjust with the prussik.

I haven't used/tested mine in significant rain. I can go home and wet it and see what happens and report back though. I ain't putting no baby oil on it though....You guys care to mention if you tested that amsteel to amsteel bridge & prussik when thoroughly wet? If you say you did, next I'll ask about thoroughly wet with baby oil. I don't distrust you - I'm just trying to put my mind at ease about it's grip.
Baby oil in a saddle? They're meant to be used for hunting! You guys care to mention if you tested that amsteel to amsteel bridge & prussik when thoroughly wet? What are you using that Amsteel for?KY his and hers would be the true test of lubrication resistance....

I had that thought. A continuous loop made into a prusik is unique. It is also DIY, so no problem. How in the world can one attempt to patent a knot?
makes sense... thanks for clarifying. I say @putt4doe 's video and it shows the spliced amsteel continuous loop. cool stuff. The prussic is a 3/16" piece configured/spliced into a continous loop
The bridge is 1/4" amsteel lock brummels with the bury the entire length
Yes the bridge is burried the full length. The prusik is a continous loop so there is a bury from each side that comes through and touches each other so that the prusick is basically a full burry. YouTube how to make a contious loop and you will better understand what I am referencing. Sorry, hard to explain.
