The freakin horse fly's were the biggest problem. They are as bad as I have ever seen down there this year.
It's sweat bees for us. Sat the pruners down the other day for a minute, went to pick them up, and there had to be upwards of 30 of um on it. They won't leave you alone and I've never seen um like this.

Spent some time in a tree practicing climbing and setting up. I’m tweaking a few things in my system so I want to practice more. Also trying two tether climbing although I’m not sold on it yet. Just haven’t got my groove yet.

I will say though, my practice probably doesn’t count since I wasn’t wearing crocs.

Practiced DSRT and setting up ROS and EDP. I used the platform all last year and thought to give ROS a try. I will say, at this point I am much more comfortable using the EDP. But, I won't give up on the ROS. After practicing DSRT with the garda i find it is rather easy. HOWEVER, my inner right thigh is all bruised up from the rope rubbing against it. Anyone else get the bruising?

Practiced SRT and setting my pursuit platform and bullman steps. Got some work to do setting the platform. Also got my clothes washed and ready to go.

Today I spent way too much money on stuff to one-stick and SRT:

100' of Sterling Canyon Tech 9.5mm
Throw Ball Kit
Black Diamond ATC Pilot
Kong Futura Hand Ascender
25' of 7mm accessory cord
6mm Eye to Eye Sling
Gear ties
Eastern Woods Outdoor Cam Cleat

I was stressing about what rope till I came across that Canyon Tech on Optics Planet. The price was too good to pass up. My hopes are that it will be a good dual purpose rope.
