Flying to Mexico with the family for a six week stay. First time out of the country for the kids. We’ll see what we got ourselves into soon!

Replaced the egr and egr tube on my new truck, got it put back together and it's running like a top. Was really nervous about this repair as it involved removing the plenum. Was the most involved car repair I have ever done. Feels good man.

Tried one-sticking for the first time. It was exhausting, and pretty scary at about 12' feet up when the stick kicked out and slid down the tree :fearscream: I hit the saddle hard, but the tether prusik did its job! Fortunately I already had my platform set up so I managed to struggle up onto it and and calm myself down. Scraped up my hands and arms pretty good but no serious damage. Then I rappelled down (for the first time from anything higher than 5') only to have my rappel rope refuse to come down the tree after yanking on the paracord pull. So, set up four sticks... climbed back up... undid it... climbed back down... this one-stick method is gonna need hours of practice and fine tuning before fall!

Cut down a Magnolia tree in my front yard and then dug up the stump with a mattock. I finally won, but my back is paying the iron price right now. Been reworking the entire yard for the last three weeks, reworking beds with new borders and mulch, digging up old bushes and planting new ones, cutting limbs off two large Oaks and other trees, pulling Crepe Myrtles out, sprinklers, pressure/acid washing driveway and on and on. I despise yard work. I didn’t retire to spend my time in the yard, but $hits gotta get done and I’m your monkey’s uncle.

Redneck rigged a removal casting deck and old trolling motor on the jon boat. Gonna fish some of the local 25hp lakes with it. CE560A65-63D6-4373-8FA4-785DFCAF607D.png
