Just did a bunch of chores. Ate me a bowl of tofu Thai curry. Bout to head out for my opening day sit.

Thai curry sets a fire in your belly and tofu reminds you why them deer are out in the bean field and also why you're out chasing them.

Replaced the dryer vent, couple loads of laundry, some other odds & ends……… my wife said “oh I forgot about some of the good stuff about hunting season “
Funny! My wife says the same thing every year. "I can tell its hunting season, you actually work on the 'to do list'". HAHA a little motivation goes a long way.

Final odds-n-ends packing for this weekend. I want to leave Friday afternoon but my daughter wants to go to the football game Friday night so I'm stuck here until Saturday morning. Plus side though is that this means my first archery/saddle hunt will be deep in the woods without a preset as opposed to a more guaranteed preset at a crossing.

Took the oldest kid to get braces in the am and scouted my archery quota woods for a couple hours. Seen 2 shooter bucks, good deer sign, and another hunter scouting too. Public land load out today was a freshly patchoulied fan and 1of the balls they drop outta the airplane to start the controlled burns

Dragged out the wife's sewing machine and made 2 short straps for attaching my RR platform to the shoulder straps of my Badland's Monster pack. Will hike with it in a day or two to check the comfort level. No additional bag/sack needed.
