I bought my Tacoma new for 24K in 2004. It has 77K miles. I got a new frame last year for free. I should sell it for 26K. :D

I shot my bow this morning,i have to adjust the sight a tad. Then worked out,now a shower then i will climb back up my practice tree and shoot some more from the saddle.
The realistic training has begun...I shoot broadheads as well. I want to be 100% ready come opening day. There is not much meat left in the freezer, its mostly veggies and fruit now, that is off balance in my opinion.

This was yesterday, but had an eventful day hunting the marsh. Got my truck stuck in a ditch and spent the better part of the morning getting it out. Scouted late morning and found some good looking spots but not the fresh sign I was hoping for. Got a visual on a nice velvet 9 point buck browsing in a brushy swale in the marsh around 1pm. Proceeded to put the sneak on him. The closest I got was around 50 yards before he dissapeared into a wall of phragmites. Back to scouting, found a few persimmon trees dropping on a point jutting out into the marsh. Littered with tracks, scat, and a few small scrapes that looked like they were just opened up. Got in a tree and had a little 5 pointer fresh out of velvet, dark blood stained antlers, hit the persimmons an hour before dark. Then a small velvet 8 at last light. Back after the big 9 this evening.

I just went over to my parents' house and climbed a tree, intended on shooting from it, but got too frustrated with my DIY gear hanger and got discouraged. Really wish I had been climbing these past 8 weeks. Need to climb every day between now and the 15th to work out the kinks.

Just don’t ever be in a hurry. A week or two of practice and you’ll be there. I’m still only about 80% good with my new sticks etc.

I did my daily 1/4 mile run and had a bit of knee pain. I made a 1 lb meatloaf yesterday with an equal volume of breadcrumbs and ate the whole thing. Wheat always gives me knee pain. I haven't had any while running over the past 7 days. I am up 2.5lbs in weight since yesterday. Water retention due to inflammation will do that. The meatloaf was good with breadcrumbs but I don't think it's worth the cost. I hear the GI issues rumbling as I write this.

This morning I rewrapped my WE steps in vet tape, packed 2 more with JB weld, and silenced my platform, and put ribs on for an early dinner. I've been doing some Cain method climbing for the up coming season but need to do a few K/S runs to knock the rust off in case I need to use it this season. Compound is sighted in with broadheads, so now I'll focus on the recurve for the rest of the preseason. My gear is mostly ready, but I'll have to wash all the cloths and line dry, and pack them in fresh cut hemlock.

TIL my kids like Motley Crüe. This should go over well with the spousal unit. If you don’t hear from me again you’ll know why.

All of today’s youth should hear girls, girls, girls. Wild side, too fast for love, shout at the devil. You know, the classics with a good wholesome message.

Just got my first saddle in this week (phantom). Went and put my r.o.s (ameristeps) 18inches off the ground. Tethered to the tree and hung out for a bit. Swung around the tree, adjusted my bridge, tether, and saddle to see what seemed most comfortable. Learned real quick that you need to be careful letting rope out on the tether with a ropeman 1. Lots more "training " to do still.

Tried a thin elastic paracord to my one stick rope. Attached it to my saddle. It makes releasing my stick easier and I get more distance per move
