What is the quickest, lightest, and most affordable climbing method?

I carry sections of 3/4” pvc with bell ends on them. They fit in a traditional quiver or my back pack. I also always keep a spare eye to eye hitch cord for emergencies. I was Ddrt climbing once and used the monkey fist to advance my system to the next crotch and it got hung badly. I used my tether a lineman’s rope and my hitch cord to make a mock 2 TC to climb up and get it unstuck. It’s always a good idea to keep some prusiks. They are light weight packable and can come in handy in a pinch
Do you carry a push stick every hunt? I’ve heard of people using sections of pvc so it breaks down.

On second thought, I could 3TC the heck out of that tree.
I’d be interested in seeing a video of someone doing a 2tc climb in a leaning tree with with lots of limbs, or just in general more diverse situations. maybe you could convert me. I’ve done you tube searches on 2tc and it’s nothing but straight limbless trees so it doesn’t give me a good idea of the potential of it.

I can only state what works best for me as an arthritic 73 year old with a body that saw too much adventure. I use 5 lone wolf double steps with cable aiders to preset a bunch of trees in likely spots with paracord. I can then SRT the tree of choice depending on wind and food source variables. I realize this is not a great option for those without access to private land. I am very lucky to have had private land hunting my entire life. I currently hunt on my brother in law and good friend's property only 10 miles away. My SRT set up varies some but I usually use 40 foot of Canyon Elite, Mad Rock Safeguard, Kong hand ascender with foot loop, Petzl chest ascender with foot loop bungied to the Kong, and a small pack with a lone wolf platform. It works for me but isn't for everyone and I respect that we all get to have a choice. AMERICA!

Quickest, lightest, and affordable? Generally things are a pick max 2 out of the 3...

My best guess would be simple 2tc (without all the nice cgm foot loops and such, I suppose you could tie a loop?) Or bolts. If you use grade 8 hardware store bolts it's relatively frugal and quick, just not an option for a lot of us public land folks.

pr

private and public, oak trees
MRS with a pre set cord. Or JRB. If they are bigger oak. Those are the trees I like to hunt. To big to get your arms around to one stick or 2tc. Generally will have good branches up high. If not drill holes and use bolts. If it's a strait, limb less climb 1 stick could be efficient.

Shout out to @Nutterbuster for the ol drill / bolt youtube vids. Got a river valley on private ( hauling pre set sticks down there just too much work )… after several years it’s finally soaked in through my skull that I oughta try bolts.

Edit: Do I buy the regular or the mini drill, which one puts me on more deer???

Both were demonstration videos so I took my time going slow.
I will be doing another leaning pine this weekend with my new tether assists which make it all smoother and faster.

IMO having a 2TC system with your main tether be a 60' rappel rope that can be used as either SRT and JRB at the drop of a hat is the lightest and cheapest way up any tree that you can't legally use Bolts and Climbing spikes(w/ LB) on! I will be demonstrating this ASAP.

To each their one .. every climbing method is going to fit everyone different.. the best advice anyone could give is get together with a few buddies who all climb different and try for yourself .. then Practice practice practice .. not one method is going to be the end all be all for everyone
