What's going on at AeroHunter?

I don't blame them for being done, I get that. I don't get why you close up shop instead of selling though... there's still demand. Couldn't they atleast sell plans/rights to someone like @Fl Canopy Stalker ? Keep it alive, ya know?
I’ve reverse engineered them enough, that I don’t need their plans, I would just love to have a few of their sew technicians, because their quality is unmatched! And maybe the rights to the name Aerohunter and the saddle names
I feel like the name aerohunter would just be awesome and also strike feelings of nostalgia in seasoned saddle hunters…

It's their business. Maybe they don't want to risk seeing the name eventually get drug thru the mud if they were to sell and quality changes.

I don't blame them one bit. When I'm ready to pull the pin, I'm out.

That's a good point

I think the business is ran off the owners property. They want done. It’s probably just easier to shut it down than try to sell it.

That’s sad. I had nothing but excellent service from them. Wonder what happened.

For what is it worth, I bought a Kestrel as my first saddle from them. Everything was great. That saddle is excellent, but yes a bit heavy. Their customer service to Canada was great. I would have bought from them again.

I think I might have a problem lmao
When I say I’m sad to see them go, I mean I am really sad to see them go.
PS if anyone actually has the new Revo and wants to sell it, I know a guy
It's going to be a close call to who has more and it might be a tie. I definitely have 4 size 2 kestrels, a size 2 kite, an evolution and whatever the kids size saddle they made last year was called. I've had a few of their other more recent versions that I've passed on as well, the flex, merlin. I was never a fan of their pleat design. I may actually have 5 kestrels too lol. I stocked up for life so I'd have to go through the bin to check :tongueclosed:

My saddle collection is sick. It’s still expanding though lol

I have a bunch of historic and DIY saddles around. I've tried to offload most of the newer commercial ones I've tried if I'm not going to use them. I have way too much crap in bins that I really just need to clean out at this point.

Which bridge did you run on your kite?

It's a little different now, but this was the basic concept...

I don't think the plans are worth much at all too easy to cook up the recipe. But imagine what they could have built the brand up to. They didn't ever seem to want to do more than dabble in this market.

I would think they probably sold or should have sold the New Tribe side, but who knows.

Yea my wife keeps saying the same thing to me. I kept bins of all brand saddles so people can try them out at the meet ups or if they come by the house. I always felt like if people don’t like mine, maybe they’d like CGM or Overwatch or Trophyline ect…. My wife tells me that bad business and we need to get rid of things we aren’t ever gonna use
So y’all might see unloading some saddles come spring time

Am I going to have to update this ^ to say:

You might be a saddle hunter if...

... You have at least one Rubbermaid tub full of random commercial saddles that you never use, but can't part with... ?? :tearsofjoy:

Bad business? I'm filing that under reasons to buy from you!

The only thing I don't like about my Wood Hunting Saddle is the brand name. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Couldn't it have be something cool like "Tethrd."

Hate to see a company held back by spellcheck.

I use to do my bridges that way. Amsteel is just so much lighter and smaller that it’s hard to use the heavier climbing ropes for bridges now. If I don’t use amsteel, I’m using tubular webbing.

We toyed with the idea of “Canopy Stalker” but there is no telling what Google might pull up then….
Aerohunter is like the best saddle brand name ever…
with ours, people usually find horse saddles first on Google lol

As far as the name goes, just think of the marketing slogan’s I could use:
“When rut heats up and you’re in the mood,
Strap on a Wood
Ok I’m done, @redsquirrel please forgive me for offtracking the thread.

My wife tells me that bad business

So your wife thinks that spending the profits from your company to buy another companies products in an effort to help potential clients buy that product instead of yours is a bad business idea? Who'da thunk it? You can tell who has the business sense in the relationship. :tearsofjoy:

I always wondered if AeroHunter was intended to be a homonym for Arrow Hunter.
