We got Sunday bowhunting about 10 years ago, but only on private land and state WMA's. That leave's a lot of land I can't hunt on Sunday but it's better than nothing. All gun hunting is no Sundays. I'd like to see that changed, if for nothing else it would double the amount of days I can turkey hunt without taking off from work.

We've been able to hunt on Sunday's for quite awhile now here in New York. I remember when I was a teenager there was no hunting on Sunday's allowed for the deer firearms season but I can't remember when they changed that.

In NJ you can hunt Sundays on WMA's and private land only. No Sunday hunting in state forests, parks, or federal land.
Did that just happen this year? For WMA’s. I know it was good for archery on private.

If so, that will open up more hunting for me in NJ!

MD is a mixed bag, some counties (e.g. Montgomery) have a decent number of opportunities while others (e.g., Howard don’t have any, at least as of last season). As mentioned above PA just introduced 3 Sunday’s, hopefully that will expand in future years.

Not sure but I believe it's been that way for a while. As long as I've been hunting at least. Saw a few trucks in the local WMA parking lot this morning

Arkansas you are good to go, but no alcohol sales on Sunday.

I have never understood how blue laws were thought to be a good idea in general, but the fact that you still can't hunt on Sunday in some states really blows my mind!

Maine and Massachusetts are the only two remaining with full bans. There are a handful with various other restrictions. We get !one! Sunday this year (in bow season). Hopefully all goes well and we can move in the 20th century next year.
That Sunday is not today, is it? I was fighting heavy brush for the last two days, sometimes crawling under it on my hands and knees and after no exercise for the past two months I am sore and exhausted. I am glad for Sunday off today. I may just go for 2PM to dark shift tomorrow. Just got back from church. Practicing with my grunt call now.

Georgia doesn’t restrict hunting on Sunday. Many of the managed hunts on state and federal land are Thursday through Saturday. I think that’s more for allowing the dnr officers and biologists to be home with family than to restrict Sunday hunting.

Springdale passed a city ordinance some number of years ago allowed alcohol sales on Sunday. Those stores get packed on Sundays.

Uggghh Sunday blue laws suck. 2 States both Commonwealth (PA and MA). No alcohol on a Sunday and you had to go to a state store. I know they've changed some what. I live right across the PA boarder in NY, when I was a kid the stores would be packed with PA people buying beer for football.

You can in WV, starting like 3 years ago you can hunt private or public on Sundays. The original law didn't pass because it was worded poorly and it sounded like you were allowed to trespass and hunt on anyone's private property, but just on Sundays!
