Introducing the 2017 Aero Hunter Kestrel

Boswell how many kestrels are made dude? Worries me ordering now and something happening it not making it before season to get to play with it some Before Season opens

If you buy just the saddle does the bridge come with it? Don't see where you can purchase it separately like other pieces.

Well, I knew I should have stopped reading this ,You guys got me ,lol order number 388 ,Its all good!

G
Glad to hear that my heliums are here just waiting on the accessory cord from pmi and trying not to eventhink about the kestrel i feel like its christmas and im five again!!!

I have leverage sticks 8 two step model. I put versa buttons on all 8 put rope mods on 4 and cam straps on 4. I like the straps much better as I can get them tighter also have had ropes kick out on me a few times. Not trying to discourage you just giving my opinion.

Just so people know they didn't start at number 1. I had placed another order a few days before and was in the 260's. Makes me feel better about how many could go out.

As much as I want mine today I'd rather just sit back and be patient. You want Newtribe to do there best work (which they do anyway). When your Kestrel comes you will be happy that you waited!! Work out all the other details of your system you plan to use so then you don't have to figure it all out once the saddle arrives at your door. Hunt hard and remember safety first!!!

I want to order but I figure I'll wait and let y'all be the guinea pigs and test them out first lol

I will not lie it's hard to resist this 1.

I am in the same boat you are in! I just got an awesome deal on a Guido's Web and could not pass it up. Sorta reduced the fun money... on the bright side, i am getting the wife interested in saddle hunting. Since I "only" have the sitdrag/rock climbing setup and a web, and 2 of us may be hunting from them this year, there is no "backup". It is always important to have a backup just in case! At least that is what I told the wife... The more she learns about saddle hunting, the better my odds are!

She "fell" while wearing the sitdrag system the other day. It made her nervous and her heart race. After a few moments (or minutes) she looked at me and said "That scared me but I didn't really fall did I? She dropped a couple of inches is all. I told her that with a standard safety harness she would have fallen a foot or more by the time it was over and would be dangling from a tree. That is when she warmed up to the saddles real quick! She likes the safety and ease to hide behind the tree and move around to make the shot!

(I will be getting one of these sooner or later! With any luck, it will be her idea!)

Is she ok and how did she fall well drop a few inches?
She is just fine. She was standing on the top steps and did not have tension on the tree tether. Her hand slipped off the tree and she just "fell" back a couple of inches till the tree tether tightened up. Her feet never left the step. We were waist high off the ground practicing everything. She is wanting to practice with it some more and get better with it. Thanks for asking though.

Ok that whats i thought meaning she didnt have weight on the tether. For some reason I was thinking she slipped out of the sitdrag.

Not sure how she would manage that. I have the rock climbing harness attached to the sitdrag with loops. Even if the sitdrag completely failed, there is less than an inch of slack in the tether line before the harness would be there. That is what I love about the system. Safe!

Well, I should have stayed off of this thread. I just bought an Evolution last year and now I just paid for a Kestrel. I was talking to my wife this weekend after hearing about 2 different people falling out of treestands on Saturday. I mentioned that my safety harness/linemans belt that I use for setting up steps was at least 15 years old and I should probably get a new one. She said do it and that was all it took.

Guess that means she wants to keep you around awhile too. Bonus!
