Introducing the FlinginX Super-Pro-Premium platform!

Excellent. Now that I think about it. A couple of paracord backpack straps or messenger style rope added to the platform wouldn't interfere at all with climbing in the SitDrag. Problem solved.

I called them and they wouldn't sell parts. I think you have to sacrifice a stick. There is a guy on AT that has 4 for 110 shipped if a couple of guys wanted to split them up

Im guessing their products are made and assembled over seas, so they dont actually have parts to sell.

I have read this thread can someone explain cam over
So when you tie the whoope and lower the platform does a pin lock it or does it just lock on its own
Thanks

Locks on its own. Once the platform is pushed down to a certain point it pretty much pops down and locks itself. It's pretty amazing how tight it can get!

So I climbed 20' with my spikes and set up the platform and was able to transition to the platform and take the spikes off with no problems at all. I did tie off with my tether as well as leave the linemans rope on the tree while getting on the platform but it felt very safe! Platform was absolutely rock solid.

Cam over action from my original, some components have changed but principle is still the same

They claim that they don't want you replacing parts for safety reasons. I don't buy it because you have to assemble the stuff anyways, but I'm still pissed about the sticks they sent me with a broken part that they wouldn't replace...

ok, i need to build one of these. I have an XOP top and 2x standoff brackets in my cart. Ill get 1x 12 x 1.25 square tube. Now I just need some amsteel pieces!

What's wrong with Lone Wolf's offset bracket? Not the old V style, but the heavier one with 4 contact points.....

I used 2 of them in my setup and you can order them for $9.99 without having to worry about having a useless stick when you are done.

Those are what I call a batwing and they are awesome in my opinion. Ive never tried any of the other brackets, so my opinion doesn't hold much weight. lol They bite into the tree when cammed, not sure I see any other profile that will do that.

Those batwings look great. I used Muddy brackets just because I had some lying around. I'm not a big guy (5'7" and 165) and I bent a LW "V" bracket on my platform. So I have NO DOUBT they woudn't stand up to the non-hobbit sized guys using this platform.

I did the traction tape mod and while its not as perfect as flingins, it looks like it will work.

I got my built from an xop seat, an 8 inch 1 and quarter square steel, claws off of muddy stick, 6 ft Whoopie sling and a versa button and strap. Wish I could get pics to load.

Email me the pic, saddlehunter.com@gmail.com. I want to see how big it is so I can take a look at my settings. It must be very big lol. But I'll post it for you.

Put about 8hrs in the SitDrag with the platform today. Very nice! Was comfy until about the last hour of the day when my legs/feet were getting tired. To be expected really.

Was an interesting first day. Had somewhere around 10 mature does within range and never could get a good shot since I was trying to film. My buddy who's hunting with me this weekend killed a doe first thing this morning from his Sitdrag and then turned around and killed a nice eight point from it tonight as well! He was layin em down!

I put about 3.5 hours in my SitDrag this evening. I was filming my son. Saw a 2.5 year old 8pt, but let him go.

I used my rangefiner and I was 11yards up lol and I was considering going higher but squirrels nor deer ever knew I was around it was amazing.. not to mention I ran the ozone generator in my makeshift closet for about 20 hrs prior to heading out. Thank you for getting me into the sling now I need to get on some bucks
