Biting the bullet

You absolutely will not be sorry. You can't believe how light it is!! It really is an awesome product for comfortable, mobile hunting.

I just sent an email to get on the list, been thinking about these for awhile and now you guys talked me into it. Definitely have spots where trees are not available and spots that are a ways back and this will lighten the load.

Received my seat today. David is great and I’d give my left reproductive appendage to buy his business, upgrade his ordering software, and build seats. I told him that personally as a complement, and a threat that when I make a bunch of money I’ll be sending him offers.

I’ve been wondering about that myself. Who’s gonna keep making these thing when he stops? From what I’ve read about them they need to continue coming to market for years to come. How accurate was the wait he gave you when you ordered?

Haha. I thought the exact same thing when I ordered mine. Looks like you could do a lot with his company/product.

The fact that he’s a one man show, minimal online presence, and seems very genuine kind of adds to the “experience” for me so I get torn when I start thinking about how much bigger guys like him could be.

He delivered about right on time. Third week of February was the original lead time, but I’m in the manufacturing sector and I know lead times are out the window currently.

I’d like to hear from guys who use this seat. Is it really worth the money? Can a chair that you only use a few weeks a year be worth over $300. This isn’t a baiting thread looking to start a debate, I’m looking for an honest answer. I’m ok with spending money on hunting stuff...ask my wife. I can see it’s a nice chair but is it $300 nice?

I have 2, but I bought them when they weren't $300. I just used mine last weekend to fish and use it as a camp chair so I use it a lot more than just during deer season. It's a great blind chair too.
If you study the design hard enough, have an imagination and you're handy, one can be made with a couple old ALICE frames, some nuts and bolts, awning or lawn chair fabric, a few grommets and paracord.
Its hard to determine if $300 is worth it since each person could have their own use for the seat. It's something I'll probably use forever but if I had to buy mine for $300, I probably would've used the "Larry Chair" I was using prior to this chair or one of the hammock seats available. I'll probably never use the pack feature because there are better and more comfortable packs out there for my use.
It is nice hooking a back pack up to the pack seat, leaning it up against a tree and sitting down though. The Pac Seat is comfortable but not hammock seat comfortable in my opinion.
I also have an issue crossing logs or creek crossings. With the way the pack seat is designed and my height, the legs drag or get hung up on logs when crossing or drag the dirt when going through a steep decline. It's not a deal breaker, just annoying when not expecting it. The backpack straps can be cinched tighter which moves the legs up when packing. To carry much of the weight on the hips, the legs of the seat dangle pretty low on the back of my legs which in turn causes the dragging or hang ups.

I got mine before the price increase. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now at the higher price, yes.
Hunting off the ground has been part of my game plan for years. I typically hunt funnels between feeding and bedding in the morning in a tree. In the evening I typically hunt closer to bedding areas off the ground. I can get closer to bedding areas undetected off the ground. Before I got the pack seat I used a folding stool or a Lone Wolf tree seat. Neither of these were close to the comfort of the pac seat. Minimizing movement is very important on the ground. If you hunt off the ground and sit by a tree, there are several seats that strap to the tree. They are a lot less expensive then the pac seat. I do not always have that set up and since I can get bumped by another hunter, I may need to change locations, so having the flexibility to set up without a tree is important to me. I strap a waist pack to the bottom and attach coat and bibs above. Workes great for packing in

Mine will be here in may. My thought was I didn’t hesitate to drop 300 on saddle why not a chair that I will use much more often than a saddle. Fires, camping, fishing, duck hunting, and turkey. I also intend to use the frame for packing. So to me I think it will be worth it.

I ended up selling mine. I could not stand how it would hang down low, even strapped tight to my back. The bottom legs would hit the back of my heels every time I tried to take a large step. I tried to get situated multiple ways, but just didn't work for my height. I am 5 foot 8. After tripping over those legs for the 3rd time I had it. For my thin body style I did not like how the seat compressed when I was sitting. It would fold up slightly in the front and would be mildly uncomfortable to the inside thigh. Also I was going to pack it while saddle hunting and leave it at the base of a tree. it was really loud going through the tight brush that I have to go through to get to my public areas. The sticks were really scraping on it. That could be fixed with some tape or stealth strips though.

Hillsound BTR Stool - Ultralight Camping/Hunting/Multipurpose Stool, 2 Year Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084TCG4V2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_YSQ0NFTCMN56WNBM53RV?psc=1

I am going to switch over to this stool and hammock chair combination.
