Tethrd One Sticks Gen 2

It takes a lot more patience to deal with calling to try and get a refund than it does to just send them notice you want a refund, give them a bit of time to provide it, and if not chargeback, unless you really need the money right now.

I dont need the money right now but I did put it on my card for purposes just like this, if something went wrong, its going wrong. I put a note in the box, multiple emails, Ive called three times now. If I wait for them to **** the dog and I pay the bill in full I am going to have a $300 negative credit against my card. I just wanna zero the balance. I wouldve, had this issue not come out, now Im in a weird limbo.

All I would really like is for someone to return my call that would go a LONG way. I tried to call their testing department on my way home yesterday again.... 4pm est.... "sorry we are closed" so you closed at 3 pm on a Wednesday in the middle of this mess, seems logical.

"Just the tip"
Reminds me of something I used to say as a teenager to the young ladies! But hey it did seem to work quite a bit of the time.

Amazing how that was like a well known tactic but no one ever had to tell anyone about the tactic.

So I tried yet again to call this morning, twice. I finally gave up on these aholes and submitted a charge back with Citi. Maybe that will get their attention. They have had my sticks for 5 business days with 3 messages left and not a single response. 7 calls in total where I never got a human on the line. DONE

It appears they’re sending out gear to the YouTube personalities again, in an attempt to gain some more influence. Unscrupulous people. My hope is that that develop some better business ethics as a result of this mess, but history seems to indicate they won’t. I would still never spend a cent on anything of theirs again.

Semper Fi,
Mike

On a side note, they are sending out free replacement stand offs for the Skeletors… just email them.

Please don't cast stones at this newbie. First, Wow!!! I can't believe I just got read 35 pages about faulty sticks that I had considered buying until I reminded myself that my old Lone Wolf sticks have been working great plus I knew my wife would find out, not that I am scared. This is definitely a very passionate group with years of knowledge to share. That is one reason I joined the Saddle Hunting Community. I know this forum was mainly on the Gen 2 sticks but after reading all this, I am left wondering if there are any quality issues with other products from Tethrd. Again, I am new and my head is spinning just a bit but the main reason I got into saddle hunting was for the Safety aspect of constantly being attacked to the tree.... plus the freedom of just walking around the tree on my ring of steps smiling like a kid in a candy store. Back to the Safety, I just purchased my son and son-n-law their first Saddle Hunting kits from Tethrd. The kits included the Eberhart saddle, lineman's and Tether rope.......and.... Predator platform.
Should I be worried about the quality of the platform, has there been any issues with them? I probably should have sleep on this before posting but I have to know if I made a bad decision.

Welcome. Do a search on this site for tethrd, fail, amsteel, Gen 1 predator...lots of faulty products since the beginning and other not so great decisions...

@Just_Hangin_N_GA - Some folks had a crack develop in the Predator platform coming out of the hole where the leveling adjustment bolt is located. This happened to some owners of the first generation (and maybe the second generation?) predator platforms. I haven't heard of any of the third generation platforms having the issue, but I don't think they've been producing the third generation for very long. (The third generation is die-cast, not sand-cast.) Here's a lengthy thread on the issue that started with the first generation of the predator platform: https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/predator-cracked.35035/

If you are worried about a Gen3 platform ,there has been no problems that I’m aware of or issues with rope or the Eberhart saddle… but I’m just one person not the thousands that have purchased the newer products. Your purchase is not a Gen1 platform or Tethrd Gen2 ONE sticks,so I would not be worried.

Pretty sure some 1st Gen predator platforms snapped at the back...

How about their super sweet knee pad design. Only $70 + shipping for something you can pay $19.99 for else where.
