    Had the same problems with the cam but figured out if I shove the platform back up the tree it came off easy. We have to remember we are putting a great bit of tension on the strap when shoving down on it. It’s just like climbing sticks do when you pull down on them.

    Suggestions for simple/first time SRT setup

    I tried paracord the only thing I found that it snagged a lot. I found a solution to the problem that works really well. Use masonry string it works and is very cheap. You could also use it for your throw line too. I’m really starting to like this method.

    Entire weight of your kit?

    It has fiberglass arms on it that do flex. Do like it for the weight. But the seat is not the most comfortable in the world. The arms that flex are just to hold the cable’s in place that’s about it. Have had it for about three years now. Have had no issues with it at.

    The lightest set up I have is a xstand climber weighs 12 pounds. It is a little on uncomfortable side for long sit’s. Going with the mantis and predator platform and one stick method this year.
