2024 The Great American Outdoor Show roll call

I might sign up for a fun shoot.

Might be there Wednesday only now. Don't plan to go to the fishing hall or the outfitter hall. Was thinking of dragging my FIL but he's going to slow me down, gonna stay mobile!
Took my dad to the Iowa Deer Classic last year and besides him having trouble getting around I was pretty sure he was on the take from the Support thread. “You’ve already got a great x! You don’t need another y!” Stay mobile my friend.

Made up my mind and decided to go up on the 3rd since I will now for sure not be within driving distance for a while after this year.

I’d like to lay hands on some One Sticks, I’m currently using Skeletors and the idea of cutting the weight in half is attractive. Not interested in dropping that amount of coin before I see them in person though.

I heard Donald Trump will be there one day. I wouldn't plan going that day.. the amount of people will be insane! I like to get there at opening time on a weekday and head right to the archery room. Once i get that out of my system i'll take a stroll through all the other rooms. Wear comfortable shoes.. it coudl be a long day.

I did opening day the last two years and decided I'm no longer doing opening day. it's too crazy. and like @Flyerzfan10 said, Trump is going to be there. Best I can tell - that is happening on the 9th, in the evening.
Thanks for the info. So my plan for going the 9th is cancel. Going on 10th, no need for all that madness.

With all the security precautions they'll have in place it will take forever just to get into place. Unless you live close and would want to hit it up in the afternoon, i don't think it would be worth it.

Are you saying the 10th would be crazy too or it is a GOOD idea to go on the 10th instead?

I wish they had more things like this closer to Louisiana, always wanted to go to one. Best I’ve done is local gun shows which there’s plenty of lol

Im probably going to go for one day. I went on the last day a couple years ago and found some nice gear and wasted some money on other things, but so many people took their stuff down early that i suggest not waiting until the last day for anyone deciding. Its a pretty awesome place to check out if youve never been. Kinda blows your mind how big it is.

Did most have show discount? Cash only discount?

I can see this for the smaller businesses, not Lancaster obviously.

My wife will be working there for the entirety of the show. Consequently her birthday is Feb 8th so I will be traveling out with our son for a few days to visit with her over her birthday so I will be there for a few days. Although I will prob only walk around early in the mornings the days I will be there before the crowds drive me out. Anyone passing by the PFSC booth should stop by and tell her happy birthday and mention I sent you… gain me some brownie points!

Definitely! But excuse my ignorance......what is PFSC? And some discription of your wife so we dont come off as complete wackos....that we are.

I'm planning to go for a day, probably on the 9th or 10th depending if I managed to work some extra hours. Its about 1.5 hour drive north for me. So day trip.

First time going and have no actual plan except to walk around, maybe with a little cash burning in my pocket for something shiny. Oh maybe a release in my pocket too in case I want to try a bow, wait, it is not going to be similar to ATA or ETAR where you get to try a lot of bows?

Who's going?

Any tips and advices?
I am coming from Pittsburgh it's about 3 hours and 15 minutes away. Going to be there on Tuesday the 6th. Been going to the show for awhile. Went last year on a Sunday and will never do that again. It was hard just to walk to many people for my liking.
