My back is screwed up in a way that saddle hunting feels good, and tree stand sitting Feels bad. The reality is that saddlehunting effectively takes a lot more work to get any good hunting and killing deer with it. (Dan E and the THP guys have put in the time) i think once these skills are mastered, It has some advantages. But, if you’re new to mobile bowhunting and don’t have time/ability to invest many hours in the offseason, plus at least 1 season blowing shots, the newer mobile stands might be the way. most of the trick to mobile hunting is not weight, but effective, effortless, motion efficient, and quiet packing, deploying, climbing, setting the gear required to get elevated. If the LWCG have solved this with th 0.5, then, I’d probably buy the whole integrated system from LWCG, the sticks, the .5, and the pack, and be done. (And a good harness/linesman). Then for me and my back issues, Since i already have a saddle and like to SRT preset when i can, I’ll use it in hybrid mode like many here are doing.
