Beast stand - part2

The flex is mostly at the end I mean mine seems to of held a bit of a bend also. That seems bad. I had it for less than a week.

Was you standing on the outer edge facing the tree with a saddle on? Or just normal use...notice the owner manual said no bouncing or jumping so I assume you weren’t doing jumping jacks on it lol

i wasn’t wearing a saddle or jumping on it. I put it up checked it out then was shooting from it at different angles. Took it down put in on my table noticed it wobbling a bit not lying flat. So I checked it with my level. It’s not an obvious bend. I had to check it with a level to see. Might even be in spec for all I know. I sent it back they will examine it.
 
Sounds like I'm making the right move and ordering the .5 I think it will fit me best for my needs.

The .5 is a nice stand I had 2 of them and sold them. The only thing that I didn't like was the sharp edges and the size of the V on the base. I don't like the V on the old Assault for the same reason. IMO the improvement LW made for the Assault 2 with the bigger V makes it the best stand made if they water jet a platform for it would be a perfect stand.

I wouldn’t hold my breath too much on companies like Novix. The gear you’d get from LWCG, Beast, OOAL, etc.. will be designed by hunters for hunters. Not an engineer in a lab for hunters.

How many new products did Lone Wolf Treestands innovate and release after Andrae sold the company?

Novix is miraculously releasing a new stand because the Hush, .5 , 1.0, Beast and everything saddle hunting has killed their margins. It’s not out of innovation but survival.

Heard from the novix crew on a podcast the same thing? I’m satisfied with my beast stand but if it’s a stand that can actually be used as a hybrid I may be interested...with the long platform of the beast stand I don’t think I’ll be side loading it any of it like a saddle platform but I could also be a sissy

Their stuff is probably tested with more rigor than any of those companies and at half the price.
