'Fess Up, Who Hunts out of a Prius?

Ill never forget the time my grandfather went to the coroner and got a legit body bag for deer. Pretty sure he never put it to use but he was gonna drop them in the back of my grandmothers buick so they could have "one car". I dont even think he made it 6 months with his one car idea till there was new S10 in the driveway.

Thats what we really need here boys is all the small 4 banger trucks to make a come back.

I wish the Ford Ranger's would have a 6 cylinder, but not the Bronco 6's. I'd love a Chevy/GMC but can rely on em no more... The Ridgeline just doesn't feel like a truck, they do everything ok, in a poor conceived design. In reference to new vehicles.

And nobody can afford a Tacoma these days.

The Tacoma doesn't do much better in efficiency than the Tundra. My tundra averages 16.

Hopefully the Maverick will light some hair fires. I'd buy a good condition Mazda b2200 tomorrow if I could find one they don't think is machined from gold.

I keep glancing at the maverick and the Ridgeline. I wish you could still get a Baja.

But, ultimately I just have never wanted/needed a truckbed. I do lots of outdoor redneck stuff. But i don't haul a lot of dirty tools and lumber. Always worked yuppy jobs

Hard to believe. Between chain saws, fuel cans, decoy bags, and just gear in general....some stuff has to stay outside. I'm an office guy these days, but can't ditch the truck. I don't think I ever will.

I’ve driven diesel and V8 Ram trucks the last 10 years. I sold them all and now have my grandfathers 1994 Toyota truck with 70,000 miles and my new 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder turbo. I will hunt out of both of these for a long time

That was the biggest mind blower for me. I had a 2013 single cab 4x4 and it got like 19mpg. i guess they gave it a lot of torque... 4 banger with under 20mpg avg is nuts especially for a vehicle that small. It was a fun little truck though. Wheelbase was almost as short as a wrangler. Drove it into the back of a flatbed scouting out a trout stream while approaching traffic. Im a better archer than i am driver for sure lol.

the baja was a cool little vehicle. seen a few jacked up on some big ol tires.

I had a prius V For a few years.. I put a hitch on the back, and an aluminum hitch hauler. The V is bigger than the regular prius. Used to work weekend shift and have slept in the back many times with the air conditioner on. Remote start and it was acclimated when you walked up. No engine power though. The V gets worse mileage than the regular one also, about 36mpg. Great size to camp in. Got rear ended. See the Eastern woods outdoors sticker?

I have an 07' Tacoma and it sits in the garage most days now unless i'm hauling something. I wouldn't pay the price for a new Tacoma. Not when I could get better fuel mileage out of a full size and have more room and towing capacity. I'm also hoping the Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz can bring back the compact truck. I'd take an updated S10 if the price were reasonable.

I’m sorry but I’m not one of those guys who hunts out of a car/hybrid My truck gets me to point a to b all day long :p We’ll granted it does suck for gas but that means I got to do some extra finagling to get extra gas money LOL. I’m sure you haven’t look at the ford maverick pick um trux. It’s small like a hybrid and gets about the same gas mileage as one and it can tow and can carry dead critters without worrying about blood in the seats and what not and the price is better than a lot of used hybrids on the market0CD20F5C-3BC4-4E2F-AD3D-E2E06ACAC9CB.jpeg
