If most of your hunts are from a tree, this will help you compensate for angle. At 10 yds, it will be an inch or two high, but you will want to hit a little higher than normal with a steep downward angle so that you get a high entry and low exit. The further away the target is, the less the angle matters. At 30 yards, the angle is almost a non-factor, and you'll be hitting exactly where you aim.

Plus, sighting for 30 yds make the left-to-right drift off the Kentucky windage less noticable. Try it and see what you think...

Mine is just like my compound. Same arrow weight and roughly same speed. Sighted in for 28 yards. I’m +-3” from 0-35 yards.
 
Every time I show up to hunt I’m fiddling with windage on the Mini for an hour… I don’t know why, maybe going to the red dot will help, and I’ll start to look at rest alignment etc in the off-season. Yesterday was no exception but eventually I said “good enough”, and on my second sit ever with the bow broke my 30 year drought on the home farm (long story, but true). First kill with the mini, doe headed toward the freezer, oh and found a great shed too, pretty good weekend.

What yardage do you have it sighted in for?
 
@TNSTAAFL @Heydeerman heres a comparison… I just removed the Vortex tall mount and I think I’m going to stick with the lower profile, which (1) replicates something closer to the scope cheek weld, (2) maybe offers slightly more visibility in the scope because the limbs get wider the higher up you go, and (3) theoretically might be a little less “sproingy” at the shot because it’s a shorter lever to the body of the bow. If a fella wanted to pull the bow up quickly and leave the cheek plate closer to the low side of the jaw the taller might be preferred, but I like the plate against my cheek and that’s what this lower profile does for you.

I’m not at home so I can’t post a pic of my mini but after watching a video on AR-15 rifles and how to mount red dot scopes on them, I moved mine as far as I could toward the front of the rail and shoot with both eyes open. The parts of the bow that are in the way aren’t. It’s a much better and faster sight picture.
 
I love my Mini but I have got to do something with that stock scope.
I have a Hawke 3x I want to try but I think it is going to be too wide.
Is the Vortex Crossfire the best way to go?
@Arrowhead1 did moving your red dot forward help with the sight picture?

More time in the field will help me better answer this question, but thus far Crossfire seems perfect for the Mini. Yeah that scope was clipping off maybe 10 mins at the edge of daylight for me.
 
Anybody ever rigged the mini up for bowfishing? I've got 9 points on a GA gator that are burning a hole in my pocket!

I put a piece of bar stock aluminum above the front handle and then tapped it to screw my tactacam into. I think you could expand on that idea to make a reel holder.
 
I was out hunting last evening for the last hunt of the season . Sad. I checked out the dot right at quitting time and could still see plenty good enough to shoot. Had the dot set on #9. Usually with a peep and pins on my compound, I'm done a little earlier than legal hunting time. I have 66 year old eyes but no glasses or contacts.
