How do you guys not smash your nuts in a saddle?

I may be getting old but I am uncomfortable when my knees are nipple high even if I'm not in a saddle.
Leg straps will not bother you once you get things adjusted. Wear the saddle a little lower, loosen the leg straps a little and it should be a lot more comfortable. Adjust your tether as well. Probably need to lower it.
Lol it was more comfortable than it sounds. I was quite reclined. Just wasn’t very mobile. But I’ll tinker around with my leg straps and try out the tether in different platoons. Generally how high do you put it?

Switching from boxers to boxer briefs helped me, though my friends would say that the fact that my wife carries my nuts in her purse is the primary reason I don't sit on em any more lol

Cut a hole in saddle and let them boys hang thru

They’ll act as a pendulum and keep u balanced as u lean different directions

Hmm might get a little breezy on the boys though. Might have to sow in a little sack for the sack ya know?

i don't have this issue

i don't know if hip pinch and testicular compression is related to body size and type or not

i wear generously sized 1 piece saddles with expansion pleats (primary = woods saddle and back up = cruzr xc). I keep the waist belt tight but the leg straps not as tight. At height, I have the pleat pulled down, especially if sitting.

tether height is somewhere between nose and top of head, bridge is centered in bridge loops, my bridge is moderate length (maybe 2 feet or so), and my tether length is adjusted so that if i sit with my knees against the tree my knees are at roughly a 45 degree angle with the tree (this distributes weight between feet, knees, and saddle and allows you to stand/lean and still shoot)

if you use a saddle that expands in the back, then you can be comfortable and keep the belt in the safest position for retaining you (above your hip bones and reasonably tight)

What is the pleat? I’m guessing that’s a typo?

pleated saddles

look at the different pictures of this saddle and see where some show it expanding in the back

Ohh, hmm. Haven’t seen that before. Don’t believe the trophy line I have does that.

Castration bands... So many uses in the saddle hunting world:dizzy:. But really, I have never had any hip or nut pinch. I attribute that mostly to having the cruiser XC and also a 2 panel. both very comfy. My setup is pretty much like @raisins, I would try lowering your tether height and loosening your leg straps 1st.

Definitely going to give that a shot. Feel like I should have went with the cruiser. Was debating between the two

Went out for a short sit this morning just testing things out, seeing how I want to set things up and what not. One thing I was having trouble adjusting to was my nuts constantly being crushed. I’m using a trophy line covert. I found that if I used the back brace and put my feet on top of the platform to where my knees were about nipple high, I could take the pressure off my groin. Aside from that any sort of leaning puts a lot of pressure on my groin and the leg straps eventually rearranged my family jewels into a very uncomfortable position. At times an extremely painful position. Any tips or tricks or is it just cause I’m small and the straps have no where to go but into my nuts? Lol

Loosen your leg straps a hair and do this:

^ This is your answer. I struggled with junk smashing and chafing. This resolves it.
