Latitude usually puts out follow up videos.
Hopefully soon or guys will bash these sticks before they get to the market.
Frequently asked ? Posted about Hand grab on the steps and Traction for climbing with wet conditions .
Aiders for steps should not be an issue as there seems to be enough room for a looped aider .

I‘LL give Latitude a Free design for looping the ropes ,
Incorporate hooks used for looping The power cord like a vacuum top and bottom to the sides.
They’ll still pack flat and really be a speed stick!!

Found video Self Filmed that was posted.
Looks to have a textured finish on the top and bottom stand-off step.
He stated 4-6 weeks for orders and made in the US!!

I will probably order a set of Latitude sticks to try….. the videos have peaked my interest. Hopefully they will eventually post a video of the sticks in actual use on a tree.

I have the Tethrd Gen 3 sticks and like them a lot. I am just worried about the steps eventually getting a wobble. They haven’t so far in my few times of using them l, but it is a concern. I will keep using them but I am going to order the Latitudes to put thru the paces.

That’s all they had at the show? Sticks? I see they are discontinuing the classic. Nothing to replace it? That’s disappointing

you can take some stout cord and make a loop of some type around the latitude post and utilizes the space between the standoffs....this loop can serve a few purposes.....1. clipping it to your saddle, 2. a hand hold to pull yourself up, and 3. a place to attach aider.

i'm playing around with the One stick and doing the same thing (using 3/16" amsteel).....when the weather breaks I'll post something on it, I think it has some advantages over other aider designs

there's several ways to put a loop there and utilize it

Oh yeah....patent pending on my idea!

People bring up the 5 year warranty as some sort of safeguard. That's great, but it only protects against defects, etc. It doesn't get your money back if they just plain suck. Just saying.

And as far as the assumption of the carbon being quieter than the AL. Both on or off the tree. Yeah, we'll see.... Don't be too shocked if they end up being quite loud.

Not knocking them. I will probably buy them. Just tossing in some reality before the honeymoon.

I watched one video where someone inadvertently nocked two of them together a little bit and they sounded fairly loud.

If they end up sucking your right warranty won't matter but that applies to everything. I am sure there will be noise but the big advantage is it is not a metal noise and will be more natural. More like sticks or horns hitting. Not the bone screeching metal tink noise.

quality of the sound matters, I think

my tree hopper steps, well they'd be a pain to stealth strip or camo form.....but if they bang something they are a dull thud to maybe sound of a synthetic rattling horn hitting a branch....doesn't worry me

you could girth hitch an accessory cord up there somehow and have a loop big enough to get a hand in and use that same loop for hanging off saddle and even attaching an aider

I think I am going to do that and try using a carry as you go aider with them. Always had cable aiders on my beast sticks. I don't really want to use the amsteel ones they showed, don't like searching for footing in the dark.

i'm working on something like this for the One stick that I'll share once it is ready....as it might work for other sticks (particularly this one)

basically, a strong loop up there

then make an aider out of amsteel or webbing or a strong cord that is basically a loop of the correct size with a foot spreader at the bottom....up top of this loop, attach (in a way where the aider doesn't slide around on it) a small, climbing rated non locking carabiner (i'm using a black diamond mini wire) and wrap this in something to make it quiet

you clip the mini 'biner on the loop that is on the stick and the aider hangs from the mini 'biner down to your foot

initial testing shows it will work very well

i've already done it with a smaller diameter of amsteel and i'm waiting for the 3/16" i might use for the stick loop....aider will be 1/8" amsteel and the foot spreader is a 1/8" fuel line that the amsteel is pulled through

the aider with mini 'biner is still very light
