LIVE from the saddle 2023

Morning all, it was a bit chilly this AM, first time I've had to scrape ice off the windshield this season. First use of my cgm cobra and first 2TC hunt as well. I'm a bit late posting the pic but I've seen 6 deer so far, none close enough to shoot. Lone doe I bumped on the way in in the dark so that one doesn't fully count and a group of 4 being harassed by a 4-6 pt came through around a hour ago. Good morning so far, Hope one of em comes about 20 yards closer.

Last hunt in Kentucky this morning. Jumped one coming in. I’ve been sleeping in a tent and hunted hard the last 2 weeks and have had opportunities at 2 shooters, and once again I didn’t make it happen. At this point my mind and body is fried… I’ll be going home this evening and finish out the season in Georgia. Plus I gotta watch the Dawgs destroy Ole Miss tonight.

Well this sucks. Was really dead all morning, but in the last hour it took off and saw 3 bucks since then. I'm around 150 yards from private club land I don't have permission on, and sure enough today would be the day they walk the line to put new posters up and trim some stuff. Dang it

My wife was nice enough to let me out for the last 90m of light. Passed a mature buck last week, right about where my d-loop is in the pic. Shouldn’t have. And a young 8pt came through just a few minutes before I scrambled way too high up in this tree. Haven’t seen a doe live or on cam in almost 48 hrs, this might be the locked downest I’ve seen yet.
